NM aged 63. NM tired. NM has 90 million shares. NM sells.

NM is no longer the driver on this particular journey....he's more a passenger of sorts. He's adjusting for this as best he can. Writings on the wall.

At minute 20, someone in the crowd asks about SOLG {long, short, hold).
The response isn't exactly heartening is it?
One says 'short' the other says 'neutral' and the host says the best in Ecuador is: Lundin Gold (LUG).

After monitoring this forum for some time now, there is a head of steam building over expected results/findings, yet these so called experts seemed decidedly underimpressed with SOLG going fwd.
Do they know something we don't?

this has turned out to be.. In only two days it has changed by 5p! It has fluctuated between 56.5p and 59.5p 10 times over the last 3 months. Making me a total of £150k.

And thern I woke up! 'Cos I did nothing as usual and sat there watching paint dry...............................

Don't get me wrong. these divi's are gold dust @ 3 - 4 - 5% netting me around £8-£10k a year BUT they are only once a year!
Knowing my luck, if I did day trade (would I ever have the time), the damn stock would stop fluctuating and continue to creep ever upward!

130,000,000 shares available @ 60p.
450 employees. (No confirmation of allowances for each employee).
Assume each share is exercised when SP reaches £1.
Each employee makes 40p/share. (For each share they own).

ASSUME equal distribution. [130 million/450 employees= 290,000 shares/employee].
40p profit on each share= £140k/employee before tax.

ASSUME SP is £2 @ end of 3 year period and each employee exercises only then = £400k each before tax.

NM may only afford the coal face worker: 50k shares? Management: 500k shares? Board: 1 million shares?

SOLG won't part with any money. Employees won't either. Assuming SOLG SP exceeds 60p, everyone makes money if they sell their share option. The market will absorb the hit.

What with ISA's running @ £40,000 per married household, one would be mad to look the other way. PEP's, Tessa's and ISA's when fully utilised make for significant share holdings over the years.
No legal way to control the kids spending habits when they get their grubby hands on it, but you won't care by then.
Best solution - fill up your kids LISA allowance and then top that up with a fat deposit towards their new home.
That way they can't spend it on TAT.

This BB brings out the worst in people by a mile.
Several on here are forensically dissecting every fart the NM makes and petrified they each get their 'spoils' diluted.
Not happy with their rewards they are bad mouthing those closer to the hub who rightly deserve theirs, such as the employees and some of the management.
It's humanity at its worst.
Why can't people accept that shares are a means of trying to get rich quick. Some you lose and some you win.
But bitching that someone else is diluting their winnings (irrespective of how big your own winnings are) is sheer unadulterated greed.
Many on here make you ashamed to be genetically connected.

The SOLG RNS indicates that BHP will refrain from taking control of SOLG within the two year statutory period. This speaks volumes huh?
BHP don't like working with minnows which is why they are positioning nicely to aggresively take SOLG out as and when they like - unless of course their negotiations with SOLG suggest they 'might' be able to work together (As NM said - "BHP's presence makes for a more aggressive rouyT to production"). Trouble is - NM needs a big player to achieve this and in 2 years BHP will be the majority shareholder and will be calling the shots.
All Newcrest and Blackrock can do is wacth from the sidelines.
£1.20 - £1.40 by this time 2020.

The FTSE is currently misbehaving as it does every now and again.
Apart from the usual posters many went very quiet yesterday as they cra**ed themselves watching their life savings go down the bore hole.
I bet the guy who bought 250k shares on Friday nearly slit his wrists losing over £14k yesterday!!
Suffice to say and I continue to repeat - buying S and S, has, is and always will be a gamble lads. Charts and candles and handles and predictions are worthless when the DOW/FTSE decide to get up to some mischief.
Bet on a hunch dont look back if you lose and gamble only what you can afford.

SOLG will be bought out by a big player no doubt about it - NM is., as each day passes, a mere passenger on his road to riches.
My "hunch" (after 4 years of watching this) - Post PEA, a takeover for the lot for £2.2bn. Roughly £1.30/share.

This intel has convinced me that NM may have no say in matters if there is a hostile takeover.
So with 1.7bn shares out there for the offering whats to stop a major from sucking them all up at say....69p each?
Admittedly the PEA will affect the SP somewhat but ultimately isn't NM just a passenger in this transaction and what we are watching is a major moving behind the scenes to buy SOLG out ASAP.
Can't see greater than £1 for this stock, which will be a reasonable return I guess.
