I know some on here don't like comparing Solg with GGP but in this instance (market movement) there are several comparisons:
Both are sitting on a Tier 1. Both will get massive output on production. Both are carrying out extracurricular activities (drilling and surveys). Both have money in the bank. Both have majors onboard in some shape or form.
But @ GGP the SP is electric and on a daily basis almost. Why is that?
News releases are +ve and frequent, Company media same. Webinars are enthusiastic and effervescent. The forum is full of very high quality research inputs and comments and more often than not very very busy with friendly posters. GH is charismatic.
At solg it's the opposite - news releases are few and far between. Company media output is either drab or infrequent. Webinars are rinse and repeats of the previous ones. NM is dull and dreary.
The solg forum is dominated by a hardcore of those who talk b - o - ll -ox (newtoit), same old one liners (cookiecrew), insults (novicehunter and brokenrecord) and last but not least the pullitzer prize winner for war and peace replies (Quady). If I came back to this forum 6 months from now - suddenly......nothing will have changed (including the SP)!
The difference between the two companies is down to the drivers of both companies...GH and NM. There is fire in the belly of GH, there is porridge in NM's!
The MM's are bored with this stock because FA happens out there in the real world of Solg.

Morning Smickster - I felt the need to give CGP a dose of their own medicine. It's alright to bash Solg if you are a CGP shareholder I gather but not the other way round?
All I am doing is flagging up the facts and the precarious state of their company and its ethos.
I agree - they are, to a man, in denial.

Cornerstone's share to completion of the Feasibility Study of Alpala is debt funded by SolGold and post Feasibility Study, Cornerstone must contribute to all expenses and capital costs. If Cornerstone's equity stake in ENSA is diluted below 10%, its equity stake will be converted to a 0.5% NSR which SolGold can then acquire for US$3.5 million at any time. SolGold's debt funding to Cornerstone accrues interest at LIBOR plus 2% per annum and is to be repaid from 90% of Cornerstone's distributions of earnings or dividends from ENSA or the Cascabel concession. Currently Cornerstone's indebtedness to SolGold is US$30.5 million. The latest budget indicates that this liability is expected to reach US$52.0 million in the period to completion of the Feasibility Study.

I thought we all knew this was why CGP are grasping at straws (vis a vie the EGM).

They are currently racking up debt for the FS. Estimated total around $52 million bucks. This will be paid back out of the dosh they make from the proceeds of the mine. The building of the mine must be paid as the construction takes place and this is expected to be in the region of circa: $400 to $450 million bucks!
CGP currently have circa $250, 000 in their piggy bank and they are still drilling.

They are also drilling @ Rio Magdelena - illegally and against constitutional law!!!

CGP are absolutely desperate to wreak havoc.

No wonder no-one wants to bid for them in the open market.

It's done and dusted now - I've sent an email to clarke Kent saying we want Solg sold for 3 shillings and sixpence by September please. They responded by saying that he is taking the content of the email - very very seriously and has passed it up the chain to senior management for consideration.

Hydrogen - agree. On the one hand the broker is applying a very conservative scattergun approach, for instance:

Where has the 6.4g come from??
How can they apply a value of $100m to scally before any drill results are out???
How can they apply an SP of 17p in December when the MMRE comes out before this??

I do feel as if they are p -i -ss -i -n g into wind at times. And then on the other hand, the markets have decided it's a great note??? WTF.

PS: Paddy has a link where you can purchase satelite time over the target. I think he mentioned a minimum charge of $5000 initially and $.650 per sq km thereafter. Not that expensive for such hi tech. The costs escalate when the client requests more definition - obviously!!

So they project the SP to be around 17p by end of this year based on the reduced mineral assessment and the increased PoG. They also take into account Scally, it says??????
