Instead of consolidating could pdg start buying their own shares back. As 1.5 billion shares is quite a lot ?.
I think 40p is about the right price all things taken into consideration .So lets get on with it Odey .
Read this morning in the mail that there was a rumor that odey management [ 27% ] were thinking of taking PDG private..I guess there would be a small premium.1.4 mill shares at 40p=560 mill + 150 mill debt=700 mill still sounds quite expensive..
Every time i go in Greggs the prices have gone up. The prices seem to go up weekly. Its like Zimbabwe in the hyper inflation days, well almost .
Just living in hope
Any chance of Inchcape buying out Pendragon .They dont have a great deal of exposure in Britain in the mass market cars, they could easily afford it.It would be nice to get a premium.
Saw Trev on the telly. He sounded upbeat in a busy showroom. Looking good profits probably heading upward hope they can eat into the still large debt. Also they must do a consolidation at some point.
Can the directors just now buy the company for themselves. A snip at 2.5 million, as they probably own most of the shares allready so there wound nt be any objections Im afraid the aim market is like the wild west full of cowboys. It can seriously damage your wealth. It might even get below a penny again at this rate.
They can do what they want on the aim There seems to be no rules. Its basically a casino with a fixed wheel and a sign saying mugs this way.
Strong buy ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The best place to mine is investors pockets. These provide a good source of wealth to many directors, these can be mined for many years with little effort and there seems to be an abundant supply of them just waiting to have pockets emptied Dont forget most of the people who place comments on small boards are professional rampers and brokers this is where the easy money is for them so be wary . Fools gold.
Being an inveterate gambler i frequently visit the turf accountants. My outlet of choice is now Corals. They are growing and i find there shops bright and well decorated and i can watch all the football . Basically its a better shopping experience. I hear they are blaming Cheltanham for poor expectations i think they are being deflective i believe its the state of their shops often small and dingy . This i feel this is where the problem lies and are going to have to invest heavily in new shops .they have let their high street image slip and it is going to cost an awful lot to regenerate its high street image. They possibly thought the high street is dying and thought they could put all their energies into the net . I think they have misjudged the market.I have actually chosen not to go into a ladbrokes and spend my cash because of its unappealing nature. In the long term it has the possibilities to get back on terms with Hills and corals Even Hills is unwilling to spend money on the shops and some of them are beginning to look a bit run down although they improved more than ladbrokes While visiting a town on business recently i found a corals and hills close together the hills was almost empty while the corals was pretty full. The growth of Corals is probably hurting Ladbkokes.
So when are they going to consolidate this one I guess 10 to 1 makes sense maybe when it gets down to around 20 p
Results due soon dont expect a divi.
70 million £ turnover and not a penny profit.Surely the bod must be up for the queens award for imbecility .
A retirement home for directors looking for a last payout.
The bod are all getting on a bit if they can squeeze another couple of years of salary out of this one they will be happy. Then they can turn the lights out and get on the golf course why not if you can get away with it.
One might have thought with the quite dramatic reduction in raw material prices they might have at least been able to stem their losses if not a profit , not this lot.
Is it just incompetent management . On a turnover of about 60 mill they havent made a profit in the last few years. I guess the bod dont look in the mirror and say we are useless ,they should its the truth.
