FYI...Gary...it requires shareholder approval if solvent...if not solvent

If the company is not solvent, creditors and shareholder may control the liquidation process by getting a court order.

Btw you need to quote Cayman liquidation.

Ok cheers for clearing that up but when debts are involved and you can't pay them then you can't voluntary liquidate, it has to be overseen by the courts so that the government get first dibs....

Anyway my assertion is by relocating the assets away from Hopes reach may be as a result of dialogue with the GG. If Hope decides to fight that then the ultimate decision will be theirs and they can pull the PSA from Hopes reach and FRR form a new subsidiary and they grant that.... Doubtful but with the US arm twisting it wouldn't be surprising and Hope left with that old table chairs and Pamela Anderson calendar in the hut at Mirzaani...

You cannot. It has to go through a correct liquidation process and usually a court appointed official reciever.

As far as we know Hope hasnt done this and it will have to be done in Cayman. There's something missing.

The assets are ultimately owned by the GG and they will be the major factor and Hope cannot appoint anyone to sell off their resource and FRR know this...it's exactly how they lost Azerbaijan. I suspect FRR are cosy in bed now knowing at any point in time they can revert the black to another FRC company and there is feck all Hope can do...watch this space.

That governance code was rewritten and updated September 2018....I have an inkling it was done specifically for this event.

Hopes own business has shrunken probably 60% over the last couple of years and his defence is saying that this being drawn out is draining his cash resources. Maybe that's why it's being drawn out because he himself is in a precarious position financially and SN knows this. Did he take his eye off the ball too busy looking at ours...

Has his investing policy turned investors against his business plan as investors become more ethical?

What date did Hope resign? It's important we know this date to try and understand why he resigned.

Inherit, I think the notes sold to Hope may have been an in industry trade you know one finance house to another and the BoD weren't aware until the transaction was done.

It would have saved the BoD a lot of time money and stress, so I'm sure they were unaware of their sale imo.
