Previously I said this was a high risk investment so definitely not for the faint-hearted or anyone who can't afford to lose. Having had a lot more time to investigate Versarien I now think that it is less of a risk because one way or another the company will be around for a long time. I believe this because parts of the company have very strong links with academia that is supported by EPSRC grants etc. If as proposed parts of the group are disposed of to raise capital then it is very likely that the remainder will survive and could do very well as the demand for graphene and other 2D materials grows.
Then there is the Graphene Flagship. With a budget of €1 billion, the Graphene Flagship represents a new form of joint, coordinated research on an unprecedented scale, forming Europe's biggest ever research initiative:

And of course, as mentioned previously "The global 2D materials market is projected to reach $4,000.0 million by 2031 from $526.1 million in 2022, growing at a CAGR of 25.3% during the forecast period 2022-2031."
According to Versarien, the disposal of assets, including the mature businesses and the intellectual property and plant acquired from Hanwha Aerospace in Korea in 2020 continue to be marketed for sale and we have a number of interested parties, particularly in the intellectual property, who are reviewing information in the data rooms. However, the timing of any asset sales and the quantum of the funds that may be received is uncertain.
Resolution of this uncertainty will result in at least a partial recovery in the share price.
