Was hoping to re-open my SDX holding next week when I get back from holiday. Having a brief look now I can see in typical fashion there’s been a 40% rise while I’ve been away. Decent results (leaky by the sounds of it?) including SD progress, but next real news flow will be SD coming online in a couple of months I guess? I was suspicious and expecting some hidden bad news in there but all looks healthy in Egypt and Morocco.

Personally looks toppy to me on technicals, will be waiting on the sidelines for a back test to 19s from traders exiting or lack of upcoming news flow. But if institutions are buying can see this pushing up. Interesting to see where this goes! Great move for LTH’s, I know there’s a lot of averages probably still 50% down so hope it recovers for everyone.

Zinc getting absolutely smacked, below 3 year lows now. Despite that, some good trades getting churned around. 10p trade looks like a sell but someone’s certainly hungry with the 10.4p trade!

Interesting time for commodities with Zinc at multi year lows and silver and gold at multi year highs.

I know MAFL have strong exposure to precious metals, in particular gold so that will benefit us hugely. I think most of our exposure to zinc is through ASND which seems to be holding up pretty well all things considered. Impossible to tell regarding our NAV nowadays with so much chopping/changing, long/short positions being opened and closed. Will be interesting to see how our NAV has changed. 14p - 15p would suit me nicely. Slow and steady.

Hi Lewis, last year MAFL changed their accounting year from finishing in December to finishing in June.

As per aim rule 19, MAFL therefore have until December 31st 2019 to post the annual results (June 2018 to June 2019). So I wouldn’t be expecting annual results anytime soon. NAV update and further drilling results should be due in the next week or two though so some decent news coming up.

Few people happy to slice some by the looks of it. Any liquidity getting eaten up instantly though. Good to see

Looking good here for a strong move in the next few weeks with all these developments, would be good to break and hold 10.5p pushing us into a new trading range. Won’t take much now to move us.

Value will push through eventually, a strong rise in zinc and the metals space in general will work miracles for us. JV really does well highlighting the unbelievable value and business case here.

Another fantastic interview by JV, highlighting recent assays are the best yet from LS (30% Zinc!). Other half of the drill results due mid August and they are expected to be at least as good as the results just announced!! So that's further excellent drills results and Quarterly NAV update due in the next few weeks - could be a good month!

JV says its an 'Extraordinary time to buy some shares with NAV at a 45% discount'. Couldn't agree more! Also that over the next few quarters there will be more effort in raising the companies profile, something i've email him about on a few occasions so great news.

Very good interview and reaffirms my faith in one I've loaded up into MAFL. Well worth a watch

Very very quiet. Yep me neither, only on news. Barely any trades, no posts and little news. I do wonder why this is floated sometimes. Take it private for 30% premium to NAV and be done with it ;)

Garyn - I assume you’ve noted the circa £1.2m founder warrants expiring March 2020. You would think these would be used before any placings would be considered? The company has sunk significantly in market cap since last year, therefore in order to have a reasonable emergency provision of funds we need to have the capacity to issue more shares. It’s just good business practice. If all goes to plan with zoetic hopefully we won’t need it. Apologies I can’t answer the questions in your post.

As mentioned a couple weeks back, there’s clearly some large holders which want out (who’s knows who). I imagine they feel betrayed by PW and the company and want out due to principal. There’s no fundamental reason for selling now after that update. Only people selling down here are selling at a significant loss.

Could go lower short term but by the end of 2019 if all goes to plan I can’t see how this will be down here. Just my view and I don’t hold.

Jeez glacial sorry to hear, I don’t know the long long term history here but must have been bad! I certainly wouldn’t complain at a 80p SP!!

Quad agreed re LS resources upgrade. My one and only hypothesis is the timelines here are just too long for 99% of aim investors. Next payment in Dec I believe, that’s a long way away in aim terms. Need some near term excitement to compliment the long run success which the LS payments provide us.

Really like the recent gold investment. We need some more short term projects with significant upside imo. ETF’s etc are all well and good but it doesn’t get the market excited. ASND drilling will help with that to an extent tbf. It won’t take more than one or two investors looking to accumulate a reasonable investment to get this going.

I also struggle to understand what will move this up. Would it actually make a difference to the sp if Lagoa Salgada was a 40mt resource instead of 20mt? Or if we held 6% instead of 3% of ASND? Would that bring investors in? I suspect not, at least in the short term. If you're buying on that news you’re a buyer now.

Problem is we’re a tiny cap company of circa £3m. Most of the institutions don’t want to touch that irrelevant of the assets. I’m starting to think a premium placing at NAV for example would be a positive, but no idea how likely that is. Someone’s clearly got a buy order with their broker whenever liquidity comes onto the market. Where’s those swiss fellas gone?

More convenience stores, another retailer signed up, sales in the UK by month end. Products shipped and in transport as we speak.

East Denver was always going to fall over time, much of the focus now on zoetic and rightly so. Operating costs should continued to be covered until real revenue starts flowing in from zoetic. Very nice

lol no, I save those ones for the bad ceo's ;) All genuine questions and concerns, however maybe some aren't particularly easy to answer.

Interesting to remember last year we changed our accounting year from 30 December to 30 June. When the full years results are published, with a fresh batch of money from Ascendent coming in and commodities on a good run hopefully 30th June will show good strength across the portfolio. I see ASND is back up to $0.40, would be good to see a few more ticks up before the close of the week to help out that NAV.

Good news. After a tricky month or two for zinc it looks to be on the way back up alongside most commodities. Can only see that doing positive things for our NAV. Gold in particular is looking good for my $1500 shout.

Agreed. We’re now a cashed up explorer with a diverse investment portfolio (including KML which is the most exciting imo and now Sandfire). Sandfire dividends and smelters fee will bring further cash in over time.

I can see how those with longer timelines hoping for that billion dollar offer may be disappointed. But this deal is remarkable considering the current mcap of the company. I’m expecting it to do well from here
