Pete obviously knows the clouds of placement has hit the SP..... why else would we get a "healthy Cash position" thrown in at the end....... never does numbers does he..... contract values are "meaningful" and profit is "several".......... maybe he just cannot add.....B

I too bought more today and believe this will slowly crawl out of the gutter..... 70% drop in a year directly driven by the Body Armour shambles has proven to be a costly mistake for the BoD to recover from and they will........ Someone said over 80% of the shares were sticky... it will be interesting to see if that belief holds in the next few weeks..... Out of interest .... did the main institutions buy very low, as with 5-6 year lows, they may be very grumpy if heavily underwater.......B

thanks Banbury.... I see this as an excellent recovery stock.... I have brought my average down to just under a tenner.....so happy [ish] with that. One for 2022 and beyond unless a bigger fish decides to remove one more British company from the register..... Avon management may need a shuffle, obviously bruised shareholders from a £40 shareprice down to £8 in just 12 months..... needs some explaining for a thriving business that has upped its divi.....B

Agreed Banbury, this is a reputational disaster for the BoD.. they have overpromised and not delivered.... Not being an expert in this field, could they have not sold their Armour business rather than just wind it down.... B

I dont think they would be upping the divi if this was a lost cause..... let the weak out..... this will be a solid growth company going forward, they have learned the hard way that the body armour business is not for them... stick with the knitting as a famous old guru used to say...... One for 2022/23 this one.....B

The problem Pete has is he needs a mini spike to get a meaningful placing away. The share price destruction means heavier dilution without it ..... He probably has no good news to create such a spike..... therefore he does the next best thing... stays in his cave all day.......With annual revenues of £6m and no profit..... a 2p share price is starting to feel about right........B

25p placees have a long way to go before they are even, so thye will be very grumpy..... not got any friends at all this one anymore.. may never come out of the dusty drawer.....B

Any particular reason Avon on the naughty step today?…B

market up 1.5%..... Avon gone red........ hmmmmm. with nearly 90% [so I have been told] of the shares in sticky hands, it must be getting driven by traders and low volume at the moment.... a good outcome next week should see this heading back towards £20 I hope...... Its not been down here for nearly 10 years, it seems odd that issues in one division [albeit £40M quids worth of expected revenues] can crush its shareprice by over 50%............I am hoping on a good solid recovery play in 2022 B

just doesn't seem to want to go anywhere this one.... maybe just need the annual results and early strategic review of the body armour business out the way first.... only a week to go....B

Calming the market?…..I think he needs to get out of his cave and clarify what is really going on in DRC and provide comfort he has cash to see us through to 2022. Today started off with a half mill sell at sub 3…..that tells you peeps just want out…..B

I think there is only one strategic decision to make Gibbo…. And that would be simply “should we be doing this?”

If I had spent £50M trying to sell something in unstable foreign lands for over 10 years and they took over 2 years to think about it and predominantly showed no urgency in deciding if they did want to buy it and those that did buy were far and few… so 2 contracts running and 2 in hiatus I might just make me think of trying something different.

I would look at the successes of winning HoP and the Tower and try and win more uk business or from Europe as they decide quicker and more transparent

The current business model is a kin to the lottery…. They buy lots of tickets (at our expense) and hope one big win will come of it.

What is clear is they cannot keep going this way as they have bled shareholders dry and now to the point that at 3p, only massive dilution will underpin their current model and I think investors ( certainly thinking of the 4and 5.7 brigade) are not seeing any return and would be loathe to keep gambling

I would look for a new dynamic entrepreneurial BoD not old duffers and I would get rid of any staff that had Fowler in their surname.

With a market cap of £10m and revenues of £6M….and 13 years or so of trying but failing, my other course of action might be to call it a day and sell up. These frontier countries are not worth the hassle…. And the only reason we get through the door is because the big boys won’t touch these countries with a barge pole.

And they are successful and profitable because they only go after business they can win or at least find out if they have lost in less than 5 years…. Wsg seem to keep Exs in the wardrobe and bring them out every now and then and pretend they are still together…..
