AveragejoeSoao, similar to you purchased in 2011..average down repeatedly, past my recovery sell price to break even at €5.30 but wondering the same. This investment has been more risk than reward..should I sell now and lick my wounds that I got my money back?? Or should I stay the course for another few months to see if this bag of *hit flowers!!
My gut instinct is telling me to hang in there..I'd want this investment to hit €7.50 to justify capital tied up for the past 10 years...plus side, dividend on the way, a duopoly really in the market in Ireland for AIB and BIRG, Irish economy firing ahead ( thanks to pharma/IT), but if inflation soars ( which it is at 1.33% ATM) can see interest rates rise, more profit for BIRG, then more demand for these shares....hard to call..could just take war/conflict to tip the global recovery just as easy though..my gut is to watch and hold..would be interested to hear from other long term investors too?? Viewpoint, predictions, opinions.. thanks.
