A very positive meeting, I would expect to see quite a move in the right direction when this information given has been properly digested.
Hello Static The divii payment is quoted in Euros and is 4.5 c. , about 4..2 p not 7.9p
You can only buy shares .This is an investment trust not a unit trust. The underlying value can be less or more than the shares
I have just phoned Barclay's Stockbrokers and cast my no vote on behalf of myself and wife ,simples Thanks very much again Del44 for the information and insight over the years, much appreciated. And good luck to all.
Thanks Dell , been on the page several toimes but somehow missed . Probably to much vino drowning mysorrows at the drop.
Hello del44 and Tassie08 I have searched for this announcement on the FO website and I can't find it anywhere.
In view of the changes to the business structure the Company is principally an investment holding company at the present time with dividend income from each business unit as the core cash inflow to the Company. The Board has reviewed its dividend policy in light of these changes, the overall Group profitability, as well as the future cash flow position of the Group, and has therefore concluded not to recommend any further dividend for this Reporting Period and that future dividend payments will be dependent on dividend income from each business unit
Thanks Dell, I am somewhat confused by the declaration of interest shown on AAstocks.com site .
The current market value of China Gas Hold is 80.33b HKD of this Fortune Oil hold 18 39 % = 14 .77 HKD at th current £ , HKD excange rate 13.21 = £1.1 b divide this by the number of FTO shares issued , say 2.6 this equates to 42p per share. Perhaps Del when you have a minute you could check this. i think I trust your caculations more than mine.
Hi Cipro, Like many that post on this board i have held these shares since the start, must be 20 yearrs +. I have sold some then bought back and managed to make a few £'s along the way and like Dell44 I think the company is in the best position ever. However the wider market seems not to grasp what seems to be a very good investment . I think the next substancial rise we see will be when the year end results are announced at the end of July. Unless of course some stock picker in one of the financiial journals spots it before and we may get another spurt. I think at present it is holding up pretty well but Ithink we might struggle for 20p . If it does i will be over the moon as I have a substatial holding.
I am of the opinion that the special divi is not automaicly re-invested . As stated I invested mine first thing yesterday . I then sold a load last night and have just made two fairly large purchases this morning nothing to with drips. I wouls suggest you all check with your broker rather than sit and wait . Settlement is on a rolling basis.
With regard to the "drip" I am with Barclays and the special dvii was not automaticly re-invested , but I placed orders last niight and managed to to get 10.15 and 10.22 when the orders were executed first thing this morning. It has cerainly been worthwhile , let's hope they don't slip back
Same here Neptune 24 also Barclays and no divi showing at 15.23
Hi guys . With regard to the drip system I am with Barclays Stockbrokers and as I write this the money has not hit any a/c yet ,so until it does their will be no puchasses. As I said once before on this site I have been into these shares since the start and like you all seen lot's of ups and downs but as dell44 as said this could be the most exciting time , but as we are all getting older by the day, the sooner the better. good luck all.
Hi chrs211 in answer to your other shares question, I also hold West African Minerals ( WAFM ) bought this as Emerging Metals after reading an article about Stephen Dattels in the Sunday Times a couple of years ago.he has done something similar before and made himself a fortune. I admit this is not the best way but it has proved very good , with a sizable return of the original invesment when restructered and after buying more last year at less than todays price they shot to 90p so flogged some. other than this and Fortune Oil I am mostly funds China Latin America, slightly more adventourous ones.
I have held Fortune Oil shares since they were first listed, I have bought and sold over the years and made a few bob . I read the chat every day and I find more recently we have very sensible posts from everyone. But Dell44 has been outstanding with informative understandable research. I hope for us all that these fly but particularly for Dell44, Thank Denis
