Could this...22 Feb 2010 21:30
...be a cleverer play than it first seems? I'm hypothesising, but seeing as this is suspended, there's not much more we can do lol...
There are links between CLN and NYO. NYO don't want to progress their Ethiopian platinum assets, but also don't want to lose all gains that could be made. So they consider hiving off the platinum into a new company to be run independently. However, they don't want to be reliant on just one resource so find a field they might be interested in and get CLN to do a reverse takeover for this area. Once this is complete they can then position more people on the CLN board so the companies can plan strategically together, and sell/farm out to CLN who become a producer (of higher risk ventures). If the dirt pays off NYO can then buy/Merge CLN, using any debt as a tax advantage (not sure how, but this was mentioned on iii) and emerge as a stronger company... Well, that’s my guess for the evening. Night all :-)
