You may have got out but the swings in this stock could mean anything. I notice above all the panic selling today some large trades totalling more than 2 million after hours today! I don't claim to know all about this stock but 2 million quid don't get spend without knowledge..... I personally am with Rocka999 opinion and think a little more down slide to go, but watch this space.

I reported on this the other week and I said slowly but surely the shorters are closing! I believe they are struggling to close out with there current positions. As Hool pointed out the majority short positions would loose money with the current price and people don't like loosing. With this stock lots have people have lost value from the drop over last year but this trend is in reverse and the shorters will loose money. Two positions reduced again on the 30th and the closer the end of the year comes the price is going to get higher. This stock will be huge in a few years time! The amount of investment into the future is massive and this will show through in next couple of years with bigger profits and this is before any further partners/deals around the globe. One important factor in the short term is NEWS! It moves hugely on good or bad news. This is where shorters could benefit. At the minute there isn't any bad (people trying but there just isn't any).

Hey hey :-) just saying what I see Hool! Even you have to admit Ocado are in prime position for a takeover! Walmart are going flat out to win the online war at the minute, even splashing out on a mini Ocado in the US for 3.3 billion dollars from a retailer not doing anything like half what Ocado have achieved. Much bigger losses, not anything like the future investments, robots, nothing - yet worth 3.3 billion US! Come on Hool join the love

Hool, you have just posted Amazon stats, if you want to compare Ocado to Amazon directly you'll need to compare Amazon fresh, surely. Amazon fresh although launched over 9 years ago has made an almost unnoticeable dent on the US grocery market, 0.8 percent! I also note in your statement of turnover for Amazon you left out first 5 years of trading, if your going to compare from start up, get the start up date correct! As for Amazon or Walmart take over all that has been stated (as per regulations) is they where not talking at that time!

The shorts I believe are holding out for now Hool, I honestly believe this to be a mistake, first out looses the least! I think the trading statement will be the first statement along with the usual hint of "something in the pipeline" (boring). The real news is that "Dobbies" is talking about rapid online escalation of business and they have just employed ex exec from Ocado (coincidental). I have also heard a distance whisper Walmart want in to the "online only" (new business) to go head to head against Amazon! Now I'm not sure how a new online business works into Ocado's new contracts recently but if both Walmart & Amazon want to buy Ocado this would put their online presence & capability to a Uk leader. Not only that they can utilise Ocado platforms worldwide. Online is the future, streamlining the distribution of that business is already happening slowly but surely.

Seems OSMYX has taken particular interest in Ocado stock! This highly successful worldwide fund managed by Oppenheimer Funds Group has Ocado as one of their top holdings. This fund has over 20 percent of interest in the US, I think someone can see clearly where this stock is going.

I'm not 100% but I think the move today was as a tech stock. FINALLY. Does all the market finally understand the stock? Any thoughts? I'm talking robots and enhancing efficiency and the news of developments with various university programmes.

Time will tell Hool. I think the re-balance has happened in relation to price. The initial potential of signed contract with Morrisons sparked the upturn and the investors looking short term have brought that back down to the new value. Not sure about your 260 prediction, maybe briefly! I think there is only one direction long term - up. How far? If I knew that my name would be HOOL :-)

As Ocado have started branching out into other markets (pet industry, glamour market are recent joint ventures) I wouldn't even limit their partners to just M&S, CO-OP, Budgens or new deal with Waitrose. Their solution could be installed in airports! Their partners could also include Kingfisher, Boots, Home Retail Group even John Lewis (the aren't company) or high st brands coming on board. Solution could help escalate Debenhams online issues! The possibilities with the technology that has been developed could be endless!

Well your prediction of reducing shorts is becoming a reality Hool. Down every day now and standing at 17.76%. If your prediction continues towards the end of this month and a 15% short position is in situ, the stock would be expect to increase towards the £3.40/£3.60 area based on historical patterns. Obviously shorts not the full picture but as you stated previously you'll go with the money men! Surely reducing shorts turns this stock to Buy?

I wouldn't rule out a tie with the CO-OP either market share of both could be as big as Morrisons agreement.

Yes good news all round from the finer details of the deal announced this morning. Both Morrisons and Ocado will do well from the agreement, critically a share of profit on store solution is within the agreement although original profit share scrapped. Ocado also released to offer solutions to all UK supermarkets!

Sounds good for Morrisons & secures a partner and continues to expand their current deal. I do however believe the existing deal will be fine tuned to deliver less profit. All depends on revenue from the store pick technology Ocado have agreed & then generate from sales or equipment sales/hire & maintenance contracts. Also on the plus side this could be a deal all Supermarkets could adopt from Ocado if profitable with in store picking/technology. We all know Tesco is looking to bring down in store pick costs. Only information I have noted on this unveiling is a statement from Time (Marie Claire's parent company) stating - "The new online beauty store is a first-of-its-kind retail collaboration with Ocado which is set to launch online this August and with a flagship West End store."

Doesn't look like the details will be made public any time soon, if at all. Judge has declared no need to go public at least for now. As long as his private situation makes no difference to his company I couldn't really care either! His pockets seem deep enough not to dip into shares.

Good question Hool, with this stock nothing would surprise me! Shorts down a little again today, this could be anything from £2 to £6 by end of 2016. The thing is with Ocado now is it looks so much more attractive with a weaker £. Wouldn't surprise me if 3 or more partners signed a deal in next year or even a takeover. Cheap as chips to overseas buyer at the moment.
