I have been checking on my share-trading account but no info appears under the corporate action section.

Ahhh, not really - been in this company for 10 years. As a long term shareholder I am actually stand to lose around 80% of my initial investment. So how can this transaction deliver value to me!??!?

How can another 6.5p in addition to the previous offer is taken this take-over s**t approach into advanced discussions!?!?!?

Am I reading this correctly? Medco have cut their offer by 5 pence, because the license was not renewed.
Seriously, are they for real? Did they value the Fortuna license at $50m?
I will not even comment the offer they have made.....What a bunch of jokers!!!

My answer and my vote if it comes to this is: No, thanks!

Some people are predicting 60-80 p for the entire company which is a joke. The assets in Tanzania are worth a lot more than that. In Nov' 2013 Ophir sold 20% to Pavilion for $1.288 bn. If a low ball offer comes in they might as well join the party and take the rest plus all other assets for the same amount.
I've been in Ophir since day one (literally) and I will be very disappointed to see it's being handed out for cheap.

Thanks for the feedback :) To be honest I don't want to keep them, it will be just another quarterly charge for another broker as you said. Funny thing is I called Barclays twice his week, stayed on the line for half an hour each time, both times lost the will to wait. At least they could pick up the phone and tell me what they going to do with them. I will try again this week, I just have to find at least an hour free time to hang on the phone :)

I have been told by Barclays that I have to transfer my shares to another provider as they no longer can hold them for me. Has anyone else been in the same situation and which provider have you picked? Thanks!

I can see a lot of people here being negative about the deal, but have you guys actually considered what are you getting in return for your shares? Ophir is a solid business with great assets across Africa and Asia, their current share price is way undervalued and if you are looking long term you will get a lot more than what CEPSA or another company can offer you in cash right now.

This sounds like an April's fool joke to me. I have been a shareholder for many years, going trough issues like the OM and LGO court case, waiting to finally start drilling the Malta prospect and this happens!?!? The worst thing is that the directors believe the offer is fair...yes for those who have bought last week maybe, not for the long term suffering shareholders. I will vote NO.

I sent an email to ND last week to raise my concerns with regards to the minority shareholders here. I didn't get a reply, however my email address has been added to their mailing list and now I get updates from them...Great I say..except I don't own any shares there (*yet).. P.S. By the way they are making a very good progress on all their mines in Zim
