I also suspect that Covid is weakening some (but not all) people's immune systems so when they get flu etc they get it worse than before. But that is just speculation. But on an anecdotal level yes I am also picking up stories that suggest a greater need for Covid and post-Covid therapeutics - that doesn't mean Synairgen will necessarily benefit - but at least they are in the right race.

Sorry...to change the debate, I can't get that engaged with this trading chat...But I do think that is an interesting letter from RM. He mentions XBB. 1.5: 'alongside circulating flu and flu-like viruses'. The intention then is Covid plus other viruses. But I have been wondering what kind of trial or program would work for Covid plus other viruses program:

"...there is no precedent for a broad-spectrium antivirual clinical development programme."

And...

"Designing and determining a clinical pathway for this approach is complex, as there are multiple viruses being targeted for different high-risk patient groups."

Regarding Covid, I know some people just shrug off their infections. And I know people who have had it 4 times. In my Tin Hat mode, I'm wondering what happens to people's immune and respiratory systems once they have had Covid 8, 10 or 20 times. If that happens. I guess there will be different outcomes for different people, age groups etc. The Covid-y world is very unclear and full of unknowns for me. Is that as unprecedented as RM's programme?

Glad I bought some recently. And pleased to have an average (at the moment) lower than Polygon's. But whatever, this is sit back and watch from the sidelines kind of thing for me. And all beyond me really.

You might get a bag or two out of Arizona Metals and Capitan Mining over the next few months. What nice is they're US and Canadian and have nothing to do with AIM - so there's no annoying chat boards. HE1 - a bit annoying...I'll probably buy a bit more, small buys on the lows...its a mad share...I have a couple of mad shares in my pf...thats how I make my peace with that one. My other mad share, STKH in the US just did 95%...so you never know with those wild ones....

you are always welcome to raise the tone. I don't deliberately lower it. but if that happens, so be it. I have also been wondering if Syn can design their own P2 trial to meet their newly stated goals - don't know if that is possible/affordable.

Markets are emotional. My partner taught me that. She used to work in the dealing rooms back in the days when traders used to smash their phones into desks. My 'feelings' are that we are in the early days of a new post-Covid environment - and we don't know what that world be like for everyone. Different age groups, different DNA etc....And there is the possibility, based on what I have seen - of much more respiratory illness. But its early days. The picture (for me) hasn't emerged or formed yet.

I don't think a 'killer variant' is the catalyst for the sp. And I don't want to see a terrible, new variant. What has interested me recently is the alignment of Synairgen's re-positioning of themselves (RSV, flu, Covid etc) with the facts of the recent 'twindemic'. I just think they are in the right ballpark.

On a more personal, anecdotal level I keep seeing people getting infected/re-infected - and in some cases not recover particularly well - if that is a medium to long-term pattern then again Synairgen may be in the right kind of place.
