Andrew Prelea - not such a bad guy anymore...!1 May 2025 07:45
I read a lot but don't generally post....but today is the exception. I have read multiple toxic comments about Andrew. 'incompetent' 'thief' 'idiot' 'should be thrown out of VAST' / I then listened to the most recent interview and my pennies worth is that he is probably one of the few people that could have made this happen. Vast has had a really rough ride and knowing now what Andrew's personal sacrifice was to get the diamonds is nothing short of a miracle. As a Zimbabwean myself I know that for him to have negotiated and navigated his way through one of the most corrupt regimes is literally a Hollywood movie in the making. On top of this he has stuck his hand in his own pocket to keep this battered old ship going. Please reflect on this going forward as Vast needs this crusty old seadog at the helm
your ****** post including the words [natives] and [cesspit] in the same sentence has been taken down by lse referencing to rhodesians/zimbabweans. the post was deeply offensive and unnecessary - i am zimbabwean but i don't think anyone should think your post was acceptable. from whatever rock you have crawled out from i hope that one day you realise that this type of language and attitude is redundant and appalling.
As a Zimbabwean who appreciates the levels of corruption in the country, it still seems counter-intuitive that President Mnangagwe would 'allow' the judge to rule to release the diamonds if they were not there. Many of the articles here are about Zimbabwe reinventing itself as a new destination for investment and it would certainly put the brakes on that plan if the cupboard was bare at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.
