Sorry but I'm having trouble with this but I'm not a financial expert so maybe missing something. Where are these swapped shares coming from - are you saying they are treasury or from an individual in VAST?

Not sure about your theory. Market thinks otherwise - still 8% up.

I vaguely remember a swap to Barclays - what happened to that. I need to try to find the RNS.

ASI - wouldn't there be a corresponding TR1 to say another company had less?

Surely if they were shorting, they would be selling. If you mean they bought to sell to shorters - them surely they believe the price will rise otherwise they would be getting back less than they paid. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Because the price and time reported there is just wrong - the trade happened earlier in the day when the price was higher.

Could have been a sell. The reporting price might have been out of sync by the time the trade was posted. This seems most likely as it was around 25% down on the day.

Usually a bad sign here when all goes quiet. Hope not though and some good news appears on the near horizon.

Sandyshore - agree the longer this goes on towards the loan due date, the likelihood of VAST even being able to arrange the funds looks doubtful. I'd hazard a guess the diamonds are there (as this would have been reported by now if missing) so we can only surmise that something is blocking the process of release or it is so tediously slow that it's not going to happen soon. This leaves renegotiating the loan repayment - lets hope AP can sort this. I only have a punt in this - will just leave and see what happens.

Yes, this needs a bit of reassurance if the market is totally overreacting.

Tend to agree with Solo1 but what we do potentially have moving forward is a profitable mine which has to be undervalued at this share price. Going to be a rough patch in the short term depending on what news is forthcoming.

Not looking good on the diamond front. Our only hope here is there is some good news nearer the end of the month. On a positive note, It would be good to get rid of the debt (even if a placing) and move forward into profitability.

I would hope they would say if they have been handed over - especially if it then takes time to sell them.

TheBasher - yes I'd have thought there would be more interest here. We are still waiting news of the sales (which was supposed to be days away). Hopefully, we will will see some sort of rise before your month is over - but you never know with AIM.

Apart from diamonds, an update from BP or Tajikistan would be good.

Better to short high Mcap shares. I think the shorting opportunity on this one has passed with the company on the verge of turning a profit. All IMO of course.

I think SP is where it is because historically it has taken a long time for anything much to happen and not always the company's fault (as in the permit timeframe). Hopefully if the permits do come through and the company can move quickly, I think there will be a lot more interest. Nice rise today though.

I was thinking along the same lines. The trades don't seem to justify the drop.
