This was my concern earlier in the week - Santos will know just whom to schmooze in the city to ensure the licence doesn’t renew - this would be a complete pants down for JB, who was gurgling at the prospect of a helium find a few weeks back. I truly hope they lined this up some time ago and these delays are in some way linked to a deal. Tenuous I know but here’s to hoping...!

I am uneasy about what is happening at Amadeus - a month ago JB and AC were foaming at the mouth at the proposition of a large helium find and what impact that would have on their own licence. Now the drill bit has stopped turning and August is fast approaching without a firm understanding of whether Mosman have managed to secure a second extension. I would suspect Santos have much more sway with those in control of such matters and Mosman could find themselves sidelined if a savvy Santos director has been doing the correct wining and dining with the right people.

I worry if an RNS appears to advised of 'circumstances out of our control' and/or 'allow us to focus on our American assets' we would drop into sub 0.2 trading. Of course, the opposite could be true and the BoD have played a master stroke but with their previous track record I would suspect the former. Sadly.

Has anyone asked the BOD directly?

Baffins its always positive as far as you're concerned! We have 16.5% of not a great deal - that's why there are some big sells this morning. I think the expectation was the Stanley 2 would equal or exceed Stanley 1. The thought is perhaps now that the other wells are equally unexciting. A few jam jars of oil won't get the SP shifting I'm afraid, even at $100 barrel.
