I hear what you are saying, Loud & Clear,......A few years back (approx 15 years), I was invested in a company where a USA group became involved, as a financially much stronger partner, under the guise to help us develop the energy asset we had,... it did not take long for the USA group to turn things around, so they ended up with all of the resource, with the original shareholders of the resource left with Zero interest in the energy asset,.....I will repeat, the USA group came in, under the guise of helping financially to develop the said energy asset, costs of developing the asset were then quickly escalated, leaving the weaker original group vulnerable to the Financially much stronger USA group, which seized full control of said energy asset,.... leaving the original shareholders with no interest in the energy asset. peteb308,... in light of the fact, Rockhopper has attributed no value to the Southern licences as part of the Merger between themselves & FOGL,.... I agree it does look bleak for South Basin in the short term. The immediate down side here at BOR was less than FOGL pre-Humpback results, with a greater upside than FOGL on encouraging Humpback results, due to the relevant Market Caps levels of BOR & FOGL at the time of pre-Humpback results, in my view. BW

greedyreedy,... the way I read that comment (no less than US$400m),... US$400m+ is 3rd of our top end claim of US$1,200m+ approx. Soon be Xmas,... US$400m + of a possible US$1,200m + claim, would certainly put myself in festive mood. BW

peteb308,... that's pretty much how I look at it,... the RKH Bid values the assets of FOGL at a Market Cap ratio of :- 1 RKH Market Cap = 1.875 X FOGL Market Cap approx.,,,,,which is easier on the eyes, than 1 RKH share = 0.2993 FOGL share. This comment in the RNS also caught my eye,..."A full technical review of FOGL's Southern licences will be completed following the Merger with an expectation that the Southern portfolio will be rationalised. Rockhopper has attributed no value to the Southern licences as part of the Merger". I also agree in principle its a sensible deal for both parties, as eegbvi indicated. BW

peteb308,.... When looking at the FOGL RNS dated 29 October 2015, as a BOR shareholder (I also hold FOGL & ARG), I find these comments encouraging for the South Falklands Basin in general. "FOGL will now evaluate these results in more detail and assess the impact on the prospectivity of the Diomedea fan complex and the rest of the southern licences. The results do however demonstrate a working hydrocarbon system and Humpback was only one of a number of geological plays within the Fitzroy sub-basin. Importantly the results will allow calibration of the 3D seismic data and this may facilitate the mapping of higher quality sands elsewhere within the large area covered by 3D seismic." & Tim Bushell (CEO of FOG) comments,.... "While the Humpback well has provided mixed results, it should be noted that this is the first well in the South Falklands Basin to encounter oil and also demonstrate a working hydrocarbon system in the Fitzroy sub-basin. The reservoir quality in the various targets penetrated by the well was however poorer than pre-drill expectations, and further work will now be required to fully integrate the well results and assess the implications for the overall oil and gas potential of our southern licences" BW

We can try to time our entry (in my case re-entry of float shareholding position) within 20% of s/p nadir (imo),.... for myself, I started buying back s/p@12p, then 11p & then 10p ranges,..... Good Luck with your decisions. BW

yes, the shorter's are no doubt smiling,.. I do not short myself, although I do reduce my float (but retain core shareholding) shareholding position to zero at times, as I had here at FOGL prior to Humpback results, which I have now started buying back. With a Market Cap of £57.35m, I'm also thinking we must be close to the s/p nadir. BW
