Immediate ban on shorting Uk stocks to protect Investors & Companies in the UK.

A petition to stop shorting. A start, it's been tried before but needs a debate in parliament.

Be great to see some justice, but just don't have any faith in the system looking after genuine investors. Really shorting should be banned, that's the real issue, that the genuine issue really. When they're talking about growth and protecting the economy that should be on the list. ( my own cynical opinion )

Not unknown but hardly the Spanish inquisition, they would of acted already here if they where going to, its been going on years! the chances of FCA acting here is 1%.. Grey areas is where it all goes on, grey areas and loop holes, just like the BVI etc.

As shouston says, buy shares and don't get spooked out if you know your stuff. The system isn't here to help you, its here to fleece you.

It won't i don't think, would have been all ready if it was going to! The Uk system is corrupt as any other, probably more. The FCA most likely and already suspected shorting stocks and part of it which is why they don't do anything.. When in history has any protecting body not been corrupt.. all my years investing I've seen them target this sort of thing, never.. except a few insider fines.

Just remember 16p was the absolute pits, and we are lower than it. Been dragged here now a few times.

Only people happy for the scraps are the traders. We are still less than 16p which is dire. We need a proper recovery.

Of course glad to see some gains but won’t be getting excited whilst we are still so low.

We need a few 40% rises not 4% just to get back to previous trading range, already in a much better position.

Oilers back on the investment radar anyway. Energy crisis not really begun yet.

Think the fall is down to the world watching us being led by absolute tools, Conservatives making clanger after clanger. U turn on tax good but what a shambles. Need a general election, and ideally a new party other than what’s on offer. The government is too old, tired and disconnected from reality. Needs a good shake up if you ask me.

As for this, 11% up for starters on production is great. Can’t argue with facts, important for RBL and great for the bank balance.

If anyone uses one, any recommendations for a Canadian broker to trade on CSE/TSX/TSXV stocks please?

Production + RBL and maybe we can see something like this current value of ( low imo ) 50p.

Hard to believe we are priced at 13p still.

None of us are going to be jumping for joy at 16p.. previous double all time lows.. the share price is appalling.

Share your sentiment bob! Very much so. Once Art ups production and hopefully sort an RBL the market will have to assign a fair value. End of the day, buyers and investors wanting and holding their shares will prevail.

shorting should be banned on the LSE, as should forward selling etc etc, the market needs stabilising and bringing back to basics to better support business. If it it continues genuine investor numbers will fall and the stock market will just become even more of a joke. The corruption in the markets needs addressing as a matter of urgency, as does the laws regarding actions on forums such as this.

I think it’s fair to say, the FCA are as corrupt as those they are supposed to target… not to mention completely and utterly useless. A fairy tale organisation who do nothing imo. Would be a miracle if they did anything here.
