Vaccines came too late to the party.

And FYI there has been plenty of time to assess the omicron impact its been in the UK over 2 weeks, deaths lag cases by 2 weeks hospitalisations don't.

Also the UK was the epicentre of the Delta breakout in Europe and the west any ben3fit that had in SA is amplified here. Plus vaccine rollout.

Apparently 17% of all cases are caught in hospital... this was an estimate about 4 months ago. Because everyone entering a hospital is tested they're also finding it amongst those with any illness.
