RE: Risk off to Risk on21 Nov 2018 13:02
Goats - good post totally agree on the binary bet thing. I said it several times before Newmont walked if they did we had 6 projects all with good historical numbers, should never "invest" on 1 outcome. people tend to say they are long term holders but get nervous if the SP dips which contradicts their intentions. I have 2 holdings and do trade rarely if an opportunity presents itself.
I agree to an extent with the time in the market however AIM is a bit of an exception imo... I held my original holding after Newmont walked and added at the lows but we're lucky we were fully funded and seem to have exceptional projects. Time on AIM tends to mean dilution and other funding issues as few Cos. generate revenue. my biotech investment springs to mind...a lot of LTH diluted out the game on there, wont even break even by the looks of it.
there's often pull backs so top slice and maybe pick up more shares for the long run! AIMO
