HL have been so annoying of late I agree.....you buy a stock and it doesnt show so you cant remember if you confirmed the buy and then you end up with double!! their system needs an overhaul.......

Surely an online tax affects almost everyone, what if you order your food shop online, buy a kitchen / bathroom online, just about anything really ..........people are not just going to visit a shop in person to save a small amount of tax because the saving will be swallowed up in parking fees and agro!!! Just the Gov's way of raising some revenue and doing their usual attack on things doing well should pay the most! It will probably be a tiny tax anyway.........although I do feel that if you sell a product in our country that the tax should be borne here not where your company is based like Amazon........although we do get the VAT.......

The 81k in the bank was at year end Dec 2019, thats over a year ago..............

If I am underwater, I either buy more if still confident or sell for a loss if its time to bail!!
If I am in good profit, I tend to leave it be........so as not to increase my average.........

My parents don't shop online but what they do is they ring me up on the landline and ask if I can buy them xyz and have it delivered to them so I end up shopping online for them! I am sure this is the same for most families? If an older generation product goes online, the customers have to follow suit if they still want the product................

what a ridiculous article in the mirror, I purchased some new golf clubs from a golf store and much to my dismay, I didn't get 18 holes in one so I am now considering giving up golf as its made me so depressed! lol

pers, buy when you think its good, sell when you are happy with what you have made. I usually aim to make 10% and then sell but depends on the stock and the markets at the time.......you can always sell some of it instead of all of it.....

I agree the HL platform has been pants of late, always displaying wrong prices!!! I sold shares a few weeks back and it showed that I still held them so did the transaction again, then it said I held a minus volume of shares.....
They are probably popular with people investing their own money and now too big and need to spend money upgrading their systems.............
