Plus remember you’re not actually funding the underlying share, just taking a position on it’s price so the platform is not suffering an actual loss because they are not disposing of any actual shares.

Mick on a CFD you have to fund the account beforehand with a margin. So if you were £10k long or short on Syme you would start you position with funds of £2,500 (25% deposit). Your losses are then restricted to £2,500 and you’ll get a margin call when your equity/margin ratio drops below 90% (iirc). If you don’t re-fund your losses they simply close your position.

My interests charge is 0.3% pa on ig. Not too sure where 10% comes from and why anyone would pay that.
