Don't think there are any Bert - its a trust thing - the HNWIs are not in it for a quick profit - but got only a minor discount on what they would have expected to pay on the open market - Rightly so in my opinion - if they want to sell on a spike then they now have an opportunity to do so - and good luck to them - if they were locked in for (say) a year then they would rightly expect a better premium - hence the previous circumstances where warrants were also given/issued dependant on share price
Not sure about the legalities of the situation but have to say I like the premise - HNWIs want to invest £1.6million but dont want to overpay (brokerage fees/paying MM rates and gamble on the buy price etc) - seems to me like Sareum (PH ?) have facilitated this method which means the HNWIs don't have to buy on the open market and instead can pay the AVERAGE price on a given day - added bonus is that Sareum sees that £1.6million (or most of hit) hit their bank balance - the net effect should be ZERO dilution and everybody involved should be happy (including us investors) ? Makes me wonder why more companies don't use this method
if there's a (say) 1:100 consolidation is it logical that the spread will be reduced (ie instead of the spread of (currently) 5.00 -5.20 being 4% then quoted spread more likely to be (say) 513-517 closer to 0.5%-1% ) ? and thus enabling more considered purchasing patterns and increased appetite for risk at a reduced cost ?
Really hard what to read into the purchase by SParker
i) In the grand scheme of things - £10000 worth is a fairly token gesture (but big enough to be considered confidence)
ii) Any Director buy-in is likely to stimulate the sp
iii) Any Director should be fully aware of how allegations of insider dealing likely to affect both the company AND him as an individual should big news arrive in the next day or two
iv) Obviously a Director (any Director) will be privvy to a certain amount of inside information over and above what is circulated to us simple beings ! the question is - whether that information crosses a line or whether he has acted on gut-feeling and his belief in the company ?! - It's the timing that's in question - otherwise a Director would never be allowed to buy
One can only assume that he has taken a stand and knows a good thing when he see's it - or that he has been in a position to take direct action which leaves the shareholders with the view taken on this board - ie that there's no news imminent, either good or bad - that's not already in the public domain (I take it that the Edison Report counts as public domain)
Personally, as has been broadly echoed already - I believe that he is sending (on behalf of the company) a message that "everything is continuing in a satisfactory way - that there's no news to report - and therefore that there is no reason for an RNS/announcement to say so !!! - I would hope he has been advised by PH on the risks of taking such an action and has acted on that advice.
That said - I woulda thought Sareum would have issued an RNS along the lines that they have noted the extreme fluctuations in share-dealing activity and have no reason to explain it ?! (I have seen that done before)
Admire the confidence in declaring your convictions before the event Rare_Groove - kudos to you - power to your elbow if you come back tomorrow declaring you have bought back in (again) at 35 :P (btw this doesn't mean I hope you are actually right ! but I think it would be somewhat churlish for me to say that I hope you miss out)
Having been in SportingBet since the early days - this has been an incredible ride - just a quick observation
Entain - happily pootling along on a nice upward trend - 2040-2070
Offer received - (c2800) - price up to 2150-2200
Offer rescinded - Price returns to c2000
Am I missing something here ? - DK obviously saw value - and that value remains - the price post rescinding their offer should surely be 2050 ish ?? after the MGM offer it didn't retreat to BELOW what it was previously trading at
Heyho IMHO - great buying opportunity at 2000 - especially since post-MGM the SP has increased around 50%
Interesting read on the targets

It seems like old news (2018) but chuck the combination ("Lucyd Cryptocurrency") into your search engine and see what comes out - intellectually it's a tad beyond my pay-grade but does cause me a little itch of concern - maybe as old news it was a route that wasn't followed up - but maybe other posters here can give me some insight in layman terms ! - I'm hating investing in stuff that I suddenly find that I don't really understand !?
A couple of the relevant links that I DID find follow

I'd like to say comment welcomed - but I don't think I will be able to comprehend or compute in relation to investments in TEK !
Excuse my ignorance -I am no expert -but dont really understand this - the bid is 6.80 and the ask is 7.10 (as I write)
I try to trade and HL gives me 6.92 to buy and 6.82 to sell - should I execute then EITHER choice would result in it being listed as a SELL (as its below the mean average of the two) - this seems to have been the case for most of today and on numerous other occasions too - obviously it causes the algorithms to give misleading and rather meaningless data - why oh why can they not simply tighten the spread - I can only presume this is by design and suits the MMs as it is simple to disguise Buys and Sells in this way ?
Aye Saxon - did precisely the same - guess I'm sorta halfway there with my hunch trading :P - at 58 I can see it only going one way - but next time it hits 80 . . . . . . ? ? ? ?
Useful tool/link I use http://www.stockchallenge.co.uk/ftse.php
Simple questions don't necessarily warrant simple answers Splodge as there's a lot of unknowns involved
As for a Special Dividend - I'd suggest the process is relatively simple, cheap and straightforward - ONCE the balance hits the accounts of TEK (same readthru as Bellascura) - provided TEK doesnt choose to reinvest in another prospect and obviously heavily dependant on the valuations of companies affected at the relevant time.
