There was someone on here that predicted yesterday than today we would finish flat and that Thursday and Friday we would rise. If they get Thurs and Friday correct too then I will be very impressed, I wish I could call it right sometimes lol
You are right GLG about it doing more harm than good. I agree there. I suppose if he announces it in the budget 3rd March it won't take effect until the new tax year so investors will get some notice if they want to sell. Of course the risk of leaving it until you hear what is has to say is that like you say everyone in a big profit will prob sell at the same time which will effect share prices across the board. Sorry about bringing it up. It's been on my mind for some time and it's the only thing that would lead me to selling my shares which I have held onto now since before suspension. I actually had these concerns back in the October but the budget was cancelled.
Out of interest has any anyone got any views on the spring budget to be announced on 3rd March. There are rumours of a change in capital gains tax which I assume would take effect from 5th April onwards. As most of my shares are outside of an isa this has been in my mind for some time. I therefore wanted this to be resolved before end of March as I'm concerned that the tax rate may go from 20 percent to 40 percent assuming I'm lucky enough to go into the higher band. I know it's not confirmed there will be any changes but if there is that would eat a large chunk of any potential profits, I have always been fully prepared to pay 20 percent. Has this been on anyone else's mind or am I alone in my thinking? (I usually am lol)
I think we are all getting to the point where we want the whole process to come to a conclusion as quite a lot of us have been here since before suspension and it feels like it's been forever (although there are quite a few that have been here for many more years than me and the company has been going for over 20 years to get to this point so I do understand that in the grand scheme of things it's not been that long for me compared to that). I think it feels longer as there has been a constant barrage of neverending and new disruptive negative posters and we have also gone over the same ground many times as there is only so much information we have to talk about. However I do think it will be resolved soon and a bit more patience will pay off. Lockdown hasn't helped, I've got to try and distract myself from watching the share price all the time as its driving me crazy!
The weekend on this board was awful. I don't usually come on at the weekends when the market is closed but for some reason I did this time. That was a mistake and I won't do that again. The atmosphere on the board is much better today though, like a world apart.
There is no deadline for the rto to be completed. The only deadline was to get it completed by a certain time to avoid being delisted and that has long since been passed and we are now delisted and therefore have no more deadlines, as shown by the length of time this has taken.
Whereas Calamari would prefer the derampers to control the board as that fits his agenda. Another repetitive and often insulting individual who adds nothing of substance. Being postive is not ramping. In the filter bin for him.
I'm assuming that most people posting here are invested in the company so therefore think the prospects are good otherwise they wouldn't be invested . They are therefore bound to be postive about the company that isn't what I would call ramping. There are the odd rampers that quote ridiculous figures but they are very few and far between from what I have seen.
The mad stork, I can't believe you have gone short on the company without even the basic knowledge that the particular rule of the takeover code doesn't apply. We do not have to announce any bids regardless of the boards view and neither do the timescales set out in the code apply. I will let you figure out why. But it's very worrying that you do not even know that and have taken out a short. How can anyone take you seriously.
