Major stock market indexes in Europe traded higher in the premarket on Monday as the investors shrugged off some of the worries caused by a surge in coronavirus case count in some countries on the continent on optimistic news coming from the medical institutions developing either prophylactic or therapeutic means of suppressing COVID-19.
The DAX rose 0.50% at 7:30 am CET, while the FTSE 100 gained 0.48%.
The euro and the pound stood flat versus the dollar at 7:29 am CET, selling for $1.17944 and $1.30912 respectively.
