The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Hi AfamaMan, when you say "mostly good news", what in your mind has been released that hasn't been good news?
As you say the sp was ramped up a lot before ibs news, but the news itself was excellent. Results showed as expected brilliant safety and comparable if not better efficacy than currently proscribed treatments. Plus was shown to have positive effect on ibs-m sufferers, who currently have no treatments available. It was a great result allowing them to move on to phase 3 study. The market reaction was shocking and I'm sure once listed on nasdaq, future such positive rns will have a much more positive impact on sp.
4D have plenty of irons in the fire, with each one producing exciting results. Plenty of uplifting news to look forward to in the coming year!
Has anyone registered for the KOL event on Wednesday? Following the link on the co. website takes me to a registration page on wsw.com but then clicking "register", it then asks for a username and password. I can't seem to find anywhere on there website to create an account? Anyone having similar issues? I know it is being uploaded after the event but would like to see it live if possible.
Unfortunate day for 4d today. Covid is not really part of their business model and yet we see a 7% drop? Let's hope we get a correction tomorrow in the build up to Wednesday presentation.
If i was a large pharma producing one of the current drugs stated in the presentation, I would seriously be looking to snap up 4d now before it takes away my market. As you say, even if only comparable to current drugs in terms of efficacy, the safety alone would be enough to be the new go to drug.
I know its been stated before but look at seres therapeutics, $2.5bn. I'd be interested if I were them. Snap up all of 4d for a pittance, get there hands on the entire patent portfolio and microRX platform. No brainer.
The drop this morning is a pain but not all that surprising. See it so many tines on Aim. Keep hold or buy more and we will all do very well from 4d.

I just wanted to say well done to those who stuck with Sunrise. I held for a few years believing that it would come good, that the company had a great product at the right time. I had 600000 at average of 0.16 and was sat on a loss for a long time. Sadly I had to sell up at the beginning of lock down for for just over 0.08. I can't pretend not to be gutted finally seeing it rise and not being involved, but congratulations to those who are.
I hope it keeps flying and you all make a killing!
Thank you Rosewall. I will continue reading through. Obviously this is AIM and this is how most operate. However with in other sectors where a company may be developing a product or looking for gold/oil, there is a clear potential source of revenue at some point that will hopefully mean an end to dilution. I have never invested in a fund before so am not entirely sure how it works. Its clear that if Blue Stars investments grow, there should be a proportional rise in BLU mcap. But without an monetary income how do they continue paying overheads without dilution?
Hi all.
I saw this company mentioned on twitter so thought I would do a little digging and see what it's all about. So, I have been doing some initial research on the company (their website, broker notes etc) and it certainly seems like its positioned in a fast growing sector with decent potential. They have a low running cost which is great, but where is the income stream to cover these costs? Do they simply sell off some current assets or is it just a case of more share placings to raise funds?
Thanks in advance.
Obviously if Cytiva manage to develop a successful LFT (which hopefully we will hear about in the next week or so) it will be of tremendous value to Avacta. However even if they don't, it shouldn't been seen as a failure for avacta as we know the affimers do the job, it's just Cytiva haven't been able to make it work. I'm sure there are plenty of others big companies out there that could make it work. Who knows, maybe Avacta have got there own little team working to knock up a LFT as we speak.
We have so many potential routes to market that the chance of success has got to be pretty good. Some on here have all there eggs in one basket (for good reason I would say) but Avacta clearly haven't!
Avacta has many strings to its bow. Alistair and his team seem determined to keep pushing the company forward, seeking new partnerships and avenues to market for their affimer product.
It seem to me that it is only going one way, up! It has been, is, and will continue to be a great time and price to invest at with the prospects looking so bright.
With news on several front on the way in the next few weeks that should, if positive, propel the so higher, its a crazy time to be selling. The MMs will be happily collecting them all knowing full well they will be selling them back at a much higher price very soon.
If you are seriously invested here you should have a good understanding of what the company is about and drifts in the sp like this are irrelevant.

themuir - you are a very sad individual. The guy came on and said one comment about there not being an RNS today, that was it one comment. It was you who started it as a ****ging match and now telling how great you are at this!
Just let people make their comments without getting so defensive straight away. You clog up the board more than they do with your "oh look here's another one" comments.
This is a great company that's going places! Nothing to worry about. Good luck all
The news we are all hoping for is directly related to work done by cytiva. So surely we couldn't release this news before they do. If they have made good progress and release news via Danaher then that will be when the US opens, so 13.30 for us? Here's hoping!
Hi Vagas
I suggest researching more into the cancer treatment side of the business. This is where the substantial future growth will be. Human trials later this year, if successful could change cancer treatment for many millions of people.
This is going to be a Big company in the not too distant future. With or without the covid test.

Hi all.
This company came to my attention due to the deal for covid test kits. Obviously plenty if stocks relating to covid are booming right now.
I spent last night reading through the company website and rns's and am now super confident and excited about the major prospect of this company. As Rich has already said, although the covid test could be a major earner for the company, the main long term growth will be from its Affirmers and Cancer treatment. Do some reading folks. Doxorubicin is a cancer drug and a $1bn drug market at that. The problem is it not only attacks cancer cells but contaminates healthy tissue with the same toxins. Avacta pro-doxorubicin is "inert" while travelling through the body and only activates when in contact with cancer cells, leaving the rest of the body healthy. If human test are successful, this could instantly transform the cancer treatment market.
This company really has the potential to be a £1bn company in the coming years.
Will definitely be looking to up my holdings sometime next week.
Good luck folks. Enjoy your long weekend!
More patents granted for new products. Excellent news for the continued development of the company.
Still would love to hear an update regarding ventilator and other equipment for the fight against covid.

This company definitely looks to be going places. It's got solid foundations as an innovative company and plenty of great products that will always be in demand. The acquisition of Viomedex last years also gives the company an instant boost in margins which has proved a big part in the increased revenue for the year.
"Project Wave" patent last week will add yet more value to the company in the long term. The fact they have an agreement with a major US university to help in development of these new products is fantastic. Distributing already in over 80 countries? They will clearly not have issues getting new products to the market.
What's not to like???

Taken from Ventilatorchallengeuk website.....
"The consortium also includes another producer of medical ventilators and it will provide them with additional manufacturing support and assembly facilities in order to scale up production of a second existing ventilator design which has full regulatory approval.". Must be referring to IHC
It states the consortium has received orders from the gov. In excess of 10000 units. They predict 30000 will be needed in the coming weeks. How many of the first 10k are coming from ihc? If only 1/3 of total order has been placed, and our order value was £4m could we be looking at a further £8m order if our contribution was of a similar proportion in the remaining order??
https://www.medicaldevice-network.com/news/ventilatorchallengeuk/
We are definitely part of this, and as long as Ihc deliver the £4m orders in good time there is no reason we shouldn't have plenty more orders coming soon.
Hi bunsenburner.
Would you have a link to that tweet? Only "inspirational health care" is not the name of the company?
I am invested here and really hoping for a great week ahead. Annoyingly I purchased on the day of the upgraded NHS order and have been on a loss ever since.
Good luck for the weeks/months ahead.
