Talk of space X ipo and manager updating the board on the uprating of Space X valuation within the fund, which in turn increases the NAV. Some will see as a buying opportunity. Hopefully all those treasury shares purchase during the buybacks can be sold at a nice profit if demand increases.

Broke 5000 for the first time, with the discount still at 24%, even though down a bit, still offers good entry points. Despite the charging negativity around the trust, it’s done well for me as a LTH

HHH, I may be a bit thick here, I have read the letter from WA; sometimes as with the UMG / SPARC thing, I get the feeling Bill wants more and is happy to do it at the expense of PSH retail shareholders. In some of his releases, I sense he begrudges retail PSH shareholders benefit from his market SWAPs etc..To me it has always been the attraction of the fund to be able to get access to areas I am normally shut out of. He often talks of his partners/employees, wealthiest clients and family offices Employees / partners, nevertheless, his fund has been very good to me and is now one of my largest and most successful holdings. Is the intention for PSH's shares in HHH to be sold or transferred to the new entity for the $85 per share or will the PSH shareholders / fund simply acquire a new asset i.e shares in the newly formed HHC private company and access to the generous cash generative "forever" holding? hope this makes sense.

I have shares with HL and AJB, No issues with AJB. The HL platform seems to quote deal figures one day but not the next however, I can ring up their broker and give an order.

Pre was very tired but the post Trump Turnberry has delivered Scotland a world class hotel and golfing facility which needs to be embraced as it has the power to bring fabulous amounts of tourist dollars and influence on the luxury drinks industry which is suffering presently. Putting a side bet Turnberry will once again hold a British open.

It seems to me every time Lloyds shows a little bit of "proper" price recover Bailey the polished turd, or his FCA & Financial ombudsman counterparts seem to spring into action, announcing rate cuts against market view, Car finance investigations going back 203 years or indeed a search in the deep amazon for and extended period just in case some tribesman was sold PPI on his canoe purchase. One of Ackman’s stated objectives (and annoyances), has been the NAV trading at such a massive discount, and the desire to reduce the discount, which had stayed stubbornly high. One of the reason I believe has been the like of platforms like HL who choose not to understand the investments and were showing management fees as much as 11% at time on their so called research. Ackman appears to be getting to grips, the nav discount has moved from high 30’s to just over 20%, I suspect in the next 24 mths this will be trading at a premium. Next dip might have a top up

I honestly think there are co-ordinated efforts to tree shake by either manipulating sudden increases to trigger limit orders or the stop losses of retail investors. There are plenty of retail investor who bought shares plus 60p, who are no longer underwater due to dividends (when they paid them) but just want out after years of underperformance. The share price is currently below where it was 5 years ago and it was around 73p ten year ago.

Bit peeved, got caught out on a trailing stop loss this morning, woke to find sold out at 3.68, when I looked into it a few mins after the market opened back above 3.80. But in the middle of the night dropped to 3.63. Not expecting the 2 second dip :-(

Nice profit but still, I think I preferred the shares for the div. Lesson learned.

Having owned Lloyds for about 7 years, I feel like I am the bank and they are the punter, borrowing my money and not looking to repay the debt. Just about 3 years ago there was a price surge and I so nearly sold but instead, excitedly I made the decision to hang out for the Dividend and then rid myself of this albatross. I headed off to the beach for a few weeks winter sun. Only for the full forces of covid to hit and the rest is history....so three years later...time for a little insurance.

I have to believe Lloyds are indeed a great bank just by the way they have managed to borrow thousands from me over the past 6 years, all practically interest free and with a reduction on capital if I ask for my money back. At least i have been spared the ......"It'll be a pound by Christmas" diatribe this year. Feeling grumpy.

Thought this interesting, South Wales and Bristol firm with 85 years history and 100 million in contracts with local authorities and housing associations gone bang. Blaming 25% uplift in contracts they agreed fixed prices for.
Just shows how dangerous not hedging against price increases can be for these firms,

Wasn't expecting this, made me spit my cornflakes out. I waited and bought a load at 1.83....Oh well you live and learn, I still believe the fundamentals are solid. BTR and Student let schemes might not prove as attractive yield for II in the short term.
I might do a small top up to average down but can't say I'm not concerned. The RNS states no plans to reduce the Divi so maybe we are just beneficiaries of a transparent CEO.

Can't help feeling a little disappointed that the dividend announced didn't reflect the past cancellation of same and ability of BOD to give the long suffering shareholder a little cheer.
Due Deutsche Bank have increased their broker rating price to 61p......yes please.....that's my bye lloyds never want to see you again price.
