I have been very clear about what kind of business ITV has to become. To move away from the UK free to air model and focus more on studios and making content for global auidences. The Mr Bates drama proves the point. No money to be made from UK audiences with advertising.

I want a more ambitious CEO and Board who snap up small studios. Produce great drama and other formats. Air them on ITV and get an idea as to the popularity and then flip them and sell them to the highest bidders once they have a number of high rated tv shows.

Paywalls and more live events where people pay to view one off events. Bromley vs Solihull Moors at Wembley last Sunday would have made for great tv. Extra time, penalties and drama. As a season ticket holder from Bromley I only back winners!!!!

It is a great morning for taking profit elsewhere. Sat on piles of cash now and waiting for FTSE to turn again. ITV is as ever the one share that under performs due to its overpaid but useless management.

This share is low returns. Tesco just went above £3 so I sold my 2.80 shares. MKS just went above 262 so sold shares I bought last week there. Shell is up above £29 so poised to sell there. ITV is netting me minimal returns other than the dividend in 2 weeks.

Maybe time to start thinking what happens when the 250 million buyback fund is spent? Will this go back to 56p? Will the BoD do too little again to support the price?

You make Calculations based on your forecasts yet you acknowledge that it is clear stupidity to take them seriously because too much depends on external market forces which you cannot predict?

Kevin Lygo is a Russian troll? Do not believe a word the man says. Pogo knows better than Kevin. ITV is not hemorraging money on productions it makes purely for UK audiences.

That extra 160 million that the Dame pledged in 2022 for ITVX productions was money well spent despite the fact that LYygo is saying returns on some productions are minimal or making a loss. The Dame could not have foreseen that the additional spend would not generate the necessary revenue.

Only the City saw ITVX increased spending and kickbacks for the studio bosses for what it was and sold ITV after the announcement. A futile gesture designed purely to line the pockets of studio bosses.

How much longer must we keep this bunch of cronies feeding shareholder money to their mates in the industry whilst failing to act on a advertising world that has vanished?

If the top watched show cannot generate enough revenue to meet the cost of production then what about the flops like Big brother and I'm a celebrity where "celebrities" and presenters are paid millions.

Some idiot (Lygo) is commissioning these shows and paying ever increasing fees to celebrities and politicians when the advertising revenue has moved away.

Free to Air is dead. License fee money or pay walls are the future.

Jed, Both you and I cannot hope to know what the big institutional investors are discussing. They are the majority shareholders. They can initiate change. If the Dame's abysmal performance is obvious to you and I. If the ITV staff are fed up with the cronies at the top. That news will have filtered back to the big investors.

The AGM would be the place for her to step down. I am an optimist and live in hope that Dame McCall finally sees sense and calls it a day on a sheet show

Taking 20 million from the business for a performance that barely rates a 1million p.a. reward is tantamount to theft. She should have foregone her bonuses from year 1. Greedy, corrupt, narcissist who covered up sexual abuse in the workforce. She needs to get the boot.

Defending the indefensible. All the old gits line up to defend the Dame's honour.

Yet the facts speak for themselves. She wiped 10 billion off the valuation of the company. She took 20 million in remuneration which is undeserved and way out of line with CEO's of similar valuation companies with better performance (check out Greggs CEO).

She put a known sexual predator back on air (the Sun newspaper had meetings with ITV back in 2020 where they showed McCall and the board photographs and evidence of Schofield's relationship with the runner). She then went to Parliament and in front of the regulators lied and spun them stories that she knew to be untrue. She covered up her msitakes with a whitewash inquiry.

She has to go along with her EZJ cronies at the AGM.

I think most people are wise enough to see through the positive BS that Winnie, Solley and Janus promote.

The Dame has wiped over 10 billion of the share price. She has been paid over 20 million to do that. One of the highest remuneration packages of the FTSE 100 and yet this is FTSE250.

The share price has remained half its real value for most of her tenure and will stay rooted to the bottom until she and her cronies go. The problem is that there is no accountability at ITV. Like a Divine right she remains and nobody can move her on. No vote can topple her. Liz Truss came and went yet similarly incompetent Mccall rides it out. Her performance related bonus are fixed and not related to the SP and overall valuation of the comany

Pogo your post makes no sense whatsoever. No new game here. This is buybacks. BigEgo spells it out far better than you ever can. You pose questions. You then answer them yourself. You insult everyone else's intelligence.

BigEgo's post about buybacks every day are incredibly useful. Looks like somebody is authorised to scale back or increase buybacks. We were looking at 2 million a day initially. Looks like a target price has been reached and less support is now required?

Pogo and herein lies the problem with your narrow, myopic and blinkered trading strategy (you really have exposed your amateur nature today).

Nothing unusual has occured with ITV today. There are no new players and to start making up such guff makes you a liability on this forum.

Take a look at the wider market today Pogo and you will see why ITV is up. Most shares have recaptured some of last weeks loss. My MKS share are up 4.3% today. I have taken that gain and will look to buy back tomorrow there.

I am way smarter than you. I look at a whole multitude of shares. I pool knowledge with friends. I cash in on small gains and make money where you are too frightened to act.

Focussing on one share and advising everyone to hold has exposed you as a one trick pony and poor investor.

Cricket will start up soon. The Dame's husband runs and administers a club. Carolyn can probably be found sunning herself in a deck chair with champagne glass in hand for the next few months. Her self appointed cronies will call her if any presenter abuses young runners and she is needed in Parliament to spin bare faced lies again.

If only Solley had had the good sense to put all his ITV money into Rolls Royce he would be laughing. Sadly he fell victim to his and other die hard holders spin. This share is a dog and yet Solley comes on here and gripes about the people who find fault rather than telling us all to switch to RR.
