My first post... My daughter works in a NHS covid testing lab. The process she is using requires several stages, treating swabs, adding reagents, tracking tests etc etc, lots of room for human error. Genedrive's test seems to eliminate at least some of these steps. The UK is awash with testing methods and Genedrive seems to have missed the boat here, at least in the short term. But there are opportunities for a more efficient test in other markets, and possibly in the future when testing needs to be more accurate, less labour intensive and cheaper. The 'Genedrive System' (see their website) seems a game changer in molecular diagnostics, and if they can a) get it to work with saliva for Covid b) make it cheap enough, it could be very big. Its use for MT-RNR1 and HCV have been overlooked in the Covid panic. I started investing at 89p and kept on buying for an average of 112p so like everyone still in this I wish I'd sold at 145p haha. I will follow tomorrow's presentation with interest.
