Share price will come we just need patience. Growing the company this quickly does come with some risk. Debt has risen to £29,000,000 and £889,000 profit for a company valued at £65,000,000.

That said as we in the trade can see past the figures others from the outside are looking at Headlam, Victoria Carpets, Carpetright and figures above thinking the trade is to difficult.

As you have said the growth and team that has been built are fantastic. We will be rewarded soon enough

Likewise Group plc (LSE:LIKE) has continued its strong growth momentum in 2026, reporting a 16.5% increase in like-for-like group revenue for the year to 31 May. Trading remained particularly robust in May, with sales rising 19.1% compared with the same period last year, reflecting ongoing market share gains across the business.

Likewise have built up a fantastic set up from team to infrastructure to customers to suppliers(like James Halstead)and balance sheet.

Headlam have alienated core customers as they moved to cut out retailers and sell direct to businesses. This has resulted in selling properties to bolster the balance sheet.

Today's results from James Halstead mentioned destocking and credit constraints. Yes I can see that would make sense for Headlam who have lost a CEO and CFO lately to lose 7.5% at one point but not Likewise who should be benefiting.

James Halstead released interim results today which were positively received. In the report the following statement has lead to a 7.5% decline in Headlam. Headlams price sure enough drags Likewise down. One day the market will work out Headlam is being taken out by Likewise.

The UK represents our largest market at 44.25% of total turnover (2024: 42.7%). UK sales were 1% higher in the period despite there being a slowdown in activity in our UK commercial flooring sales. This slowdown was almost entirely in the latter 2-3 months of the trading period which was driven by certain of the larger distributors reducing purchases towards the calendar year end. Additionally, it would be fair to ascribe the group board's prudent approach to credit with customers also contributed to this effect. However, our ongoing expectations are for increased sales in the UK as spending on education, prisons, health care and aged care, particularly refurbishment, picks up.

These guys circling Headlam increased to 7.69% in Headlam. They need to hurry up while they have assets to strip.

Anyone heard rumour of LIKE buying VCP that has been posted on ADVFN? Lots of synergies in distribution and AJB well used to acquiring and running manufacturers when in charge of Headlam, but that looks hard to believe with them having negative book value 412 million. Something definitely bubbling but not sure if this is it?

As stated the key to today's meeting was how 102 sales staff, 12 distribution/logistics centres, fleet over 160 vehicles was a good foundation to take to the next level. Growth was expected now to 250 -(300m first time mentioned) this was expected to come from internal Growth but I think they have an acquisition in mind that they can't yet say.

All in all very positive and onwards and upwards hopefully.

Full Year 2025 Headlam Group PLC Earnings Release

Looking forward to presentation 28th January 2.00pm. Hopefully bit of colour regards to acquisition mentioned in the update.

I am obviously positive on what the company is achieving but I don't think it is going to be straightforward. When the last major purchase was made (Valley) the share issue was 35p and the share price before the issue was over 40p.

Positive update from the group. I liked the footnote from AJB below.
