I don't doubt it at all, but just to be picky it could be referring to the 'home governments' i.e. Scotland, Wales and England.

I cannot see the argument for NOT releasing an RNS. Without doubt there will be massive interest in what Avacta's response to the speculation will be. I would imagne that there is a very real possibilty of needing to issue pre-emptive 'speeding ticket' RNS of some form or they may be a full/part disclosure type RNS, already agreed with HMG.

...Oh, I suppose I ought to add my own thoughts.

Assuming all info remains as is right now, then I would personally expect a HUGE rise first thing on Monday and then, if PM confirms what we all believe, only a reasonable rise come Tuesday (all too many times I've been awaiting AIM announcements only to be then find 'it was already priced in').
