EIE01,
I will have to double check my calcs when I get time, I done it so many times it may be a mistake.
Just a quick ref to the RNS dated 8th Feb 22 I make the following base calcs;
Copper: 292,714 (reserves) + 1,807,049 (resources) = 2,099,763 t
Nickel: 388,485 + 1,858,875 = 2,247,360 t
Cobalt: 13,947 + 114,925 = 128,872 t
Palladium: 148 + 1,080 = 1,228 t
Platinum: 46 + 276 = 322 t
Silver: 68 + 394 = 462 t
Gold: 8 + 76 = 84 t
Copper 2.100 Mt × 2,204.62 lb × $4/lb $18.0 B
Nickel 2.247 Mt × 2,204.62 lb × $8/lb $59.9 B
Palladium 1,228 t > 39.5 Moz × $1,000 $39.5 B
Platinum 322 t > 10.4 Moz × $950 $9.9 B
Gold 84 t > 2.7 Moz × $2,400 $6.5 B
Total approximate in-situ value: $133.8 billion
$133.8 x 0.05 = $6.69b
$6.6b ÷ 1.3 = £5.14b
5.14 x 0.30p = £1.54
I beleive that's without the aluvial numbers which add a few Moz on potentially
What calcs have you got? Its good to shareable cross check.
