Firering Strategic Minerals: From explorer to producer. Watch the video here.
I think what’s really interesting about IG Design is that nearly 40% of sales is IG branded product, and presumably higher margin. So that’s a branded £300m turnover business alone. Surely combined with the cash assets, that alone is worth a multiple of the current market cap. Price:sales of 0.12x too low.
Sorry redwine - but you make little sense. If you do not believe the “free cash flow story” is attractive, then how do you conclude the shares are undervalued? Nobody is saying the debt will be paid off over the next year - it will be paid off as it matures (read my message) - and as this happens it will materially offset the $60m added capex, leaving a net $30m reduction (again, read my message). Please do not come to these boards believing you are teaching all and sundry about investment, because I can pretty much guarantee I have worked at a more senior level in front office fund management than you. Nor do I recall you here at 70-80p, where many including myself were investing.. a bit of a jonny come lately, shall we say.. atb
Not sure what you mean by the “free cash flow story”? The net difference between the increase in capex and reduction in interest payments is about $30m, which would perpetuate a highly attractive “free cash flow story”. And the suggestion that the cash flows of a diamond producer are dependent on diamond prices will not come as news to anyone.
Free cash flow here will get a further boost as available cash is used to pay off debt as it hits maturity. They will be paying $30 odd million in interest each year while receiving little back on cash held, so all of that will eventually fall to the bottom line. I suspect the price reaction has been muted as the market digests higher expansionary capex in future years, but when falling interest payments, a higher diamond price environment and further exceptional stone discoveries are priced in, we will see a far higher equity price. IMO. A very happy holder from 85p :)
Wow… a $45m reduction in net debt over the quarter, and that is with only a $5m contribution from exceptional stones. With the value of diamond inventories also rising $19m over the quarter, PDL is now almost debt free if we include inventory as a near cash asset.
Toomuchsunshine - the lupuzor trial costs are being funded by avion, and the core business consists of a handful of staff which means cash burn is low, and can be met for a considerable time out of current resources. It doesn’t help investors make good decisions if you make derogatory claims without providing appropriate factual context. Please stop.
“As a result of the stronger sales, benefits of cost reduction and efficiency programmes, and the successful implementation of price increases running ahead of raw material and energy cost increases, the Board is now expecting underlying trading profit for FY22 to be materially ahead of the previous upwardly revised expectations.”
I think there is an interesting angle in looking at Scancell as a potential British national champion in the biotech area. They now have a broad range of protected technologies engaging high profile disease areas including cancer and covid. Whether the “powers that be” realise it now or not, it would give the British medical science industry a huge shot in the arm (literally) to develop a business to compete with the likes of BioNTech in Europe and Genentech in the US. So while there may be hundreds of companies across the world developing technologies in the same areas, Scancell has the advantage of being (IMO) the stand out, broad based, clinical stage biotech emerging from over here. Good luck all holders :)
Amtech has been saying the possible dilution keeps a lid on the price at 3.7p, 4.7p, 5.7p, 6.7p, 7.7p… sooner or later he has to get something right by pure chance. I suspect the willingness to asset purchase may change if/when the psychology of the market moves from anticipating a cyclical reversion in oil prices, to acceptance that structurally higher prices are here to stay.
As for buying/selling/bluff/bluster/semantics.. yes I’m sure you’ve spent a lifetime wasting peoples time with that … in the meantime, those who acted on my posts will either have a material booked profit or capital gain, those who acted on yours will have nothing. ATB
