Ryze work with JCB, Hygen

The partnership with Ryze Power, the suppliers of clean hydrogen and alternative fuels and energy, will provide British Gas with access to the green hydrogen to power the Vauxhall Vivaro van over the two-month trial. The van is being put through its paces by a British Gas engineer in Birmingham, accessing Ryze’s refueling station at Tyseley during their working day.

British Gas is piloting the use of a hydrogen-powered van to help decarbonise their fleet, marking a significant step in their commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2040.*

Today in Davos, we launched the Global Energy Transition Forum. Together with the International Energy Agency (IEA), 🇧🇷🇨🇦🇨🇩🇰🇪🇵🇪🇿🇦🇦🇪🇬🇧 and many others, we share the same objectives: to keep the momentum on the clean energy transition, deliver flagship projects, and unlock more investment.

No one can be left behind in the global clean energy transition. Especially not a whole continent.

Africa holds 60% of the world’s best solar resources. But the continent gets less than 2% of global clean energy investments.

This must change.

That is why, together with President Cyril Ramaphosa, we launched the ‘Scaling up Renewables in Africa' campaign. The global energy transition is a reality and Europe is staying the course.

The first 100MW of ITM Power's TRIDENT skids have been installed in Linde Engineering's HYPEM modules for RWE's lighthouse GET H2 Nukleus 200MW project in Lingen.

In just a few weeks from now, Linde will start collecting the first 100MW of our electrolyser stacks - soon to be installed in what will be the world's most advanced, biggest PEM electrolyser plant in operation on earth.

Meanwhile, the second 100MW of TRIDENT skids are progressing well in production.

Built with our alkaline friends from Sunfire, who will contribute the third 100MW line on the Lingen site, the pilot allows our customer to gather relevant operational experience with our respective technologies before taking over our XXL plants.

Hygen, a low-carbon hydrogen developer, has struck a funding deal with HSBC UK to expand its Birmingham production site and develop new locations across the UK.

The deal marks HSBC UK’s first foray into the green hydrogen sector, with multi-million-pound asset finance secured against Hygen’s site at Tyseley Energy Park.
