TFE, the CPI as measured by gov agencies is a big con, doesn't even measure real inflation and obvious as to why. Gov measure is fkcd about with around every 7 years to reflect changes, but nearly always lower in governments favour....? Fancy that! Being linked to social security payments hardly surprising. Meanwhile the true rate cost of living runs hot.
