Yeah Friedman did say a lot of things. But since then, 2008 got in the way with massive CTRL+P high lighting true weakness in the EU still at ZIRP.
Any catching up of who will be on the way down - not up. As for the Euro, I doubt it will exist in another 14 years or the EU come to that. Countries bickering at the ECB monetary teat will see to that.
Always is, and will be, about money, and specifically the lack of it. When the money runs out, sobering up to reality in the EU zone won't be funny - all Ponzis end badly.
