My opinion is that it is more likely to be interference than naked shorting which unless pointed towards ‘infiltration’ at major position building is not likely to make sufficient returns for a normal sized hedge fund. (However unprofessional micro hedge funds such as in the link you put on the post may think they can make a profit that is worth the risks

There are some posters here and elsewhere who do not seem to know anything about ground hydraulics or infill rates yet post

If there were no water ingress the mine would never need dewatering

The current pumping rate is known as is the rate of decline/shaft size and ergo rate of ingress

As will be pressure gradients of the water column

That alone lets the company know if there is any real issue beyond what was expected

If there was any problem it would already be known and therefore alertable as material information

So listen to other saying 'I know but not telling’ if you wish
