I beg to differ Hexham, your comments are only valid if existing holders have the capacity to take up those rights. Most people who invest do so on the basis of any spare funds they have so most PI’s are probably not in the position to take up those rights.

Interesting words Goldgnome, I very much agree with your take on AU house prices, hyperinflation in capital value coupled with rock bottom interest rates - a bubble waiting to burst! At least that’s what I tell myself as a sore first time buyer struggling to jump onto the Melbourne market!
Anyway, back to gold and our abysmal sp - seems I misinterpreted the awful CPI data yesterday…..5% obviously wasn’t a big enough hike……! Shocking.

Sotolo, I 100% agree and understand that point, management certainly has a lot to answer for. However, on an intra-day basis when all (usual) factors fall in our favour, you must admit that it is odd and very frustrating that the sp has gone the other way. God forbid the gold price goes down, yields go up and sells out weight buys….

Why on earth is the sp down 3% today? Gold is up and is likely to continue rising, buys vs sells massively in our favour, the US printing money like it’s going out of fashion etc etc. Yet CEY is still sitting at 112p, almost half of where it was last year. Incredible (not in a good way…).

Do you still get the divi in a couple of weeks even if you sell now (assuming you were holding ex-divi date)?

This share is infuriating!
When gold goes down, centamin goes down (usually x2) but when gold goes up, like yesterday, we barely f**king move. What a dog.

What an absolute disgrace this share has become, sheer MM manipulation. Down almost 60% in 3 months?!? And why, because gold is down 10%? Yes they have some problems, but not to this extent. Unbelievable....

How convenient of them to cut the recommendation after the price has dropped.....These broker price targets are hardly worth the paper they’re written on.

It’s a disgrace. 15% down in 3 days because gold is down 4%? I sold out of BNC to bey these....

Absolutely ridiculous over reaction to the SP. Pre COVID the share price and gold price was much higher. Just been reading the BBC article in which the below extract is taken regarding the trial;
“ However, the data presented is not the final analysis as it is based on only the first 94 volunteers to develop Covid so the precise effectiveness of the vaccine may change when the full results are analysed.”
So gold has bombed 5%, centamin by 10% (other miners much worse) and stocks rally by 20-30% based on 94 people’s results across 6 different countries!? What a sham!

Uncertain times ahead indeed, the crystal ball is perhaps now our best bet!
ASX being slammed again, down 1.4% in the first 10 minutes of trading (not so good for my AGL shares...).
However, aside from cash of course, gold is surely the safest bet for the coming months, especially CEY who have shed 50% of their value in less than 3 months. I hope I’m not made to eat my own words but I think this stock has been overcooked and will offer decent upside from these levels.

I don’t quiet understand why there’s been such downward movement in the share price over the last few days. Gold hasn’t budged, or confidently broken out (either way) So it has to be down to the ‘algo bots’ IMO.

Sheer manipulation. Quadrupled annual profits and expecting a good trading run up to Christmas = 10% down?
This is simply a window for the city boys to get in cheap. Back up by the end of the day.
