Just stay calm, the lot of you. As I said earlier, sp will be blue tomorrow. Nothing to be concerned about this rns. Market knew a 'bad' rns was coming, so reduced sp from 15.8 down to 13.3 today. Rns is out and it's just a balancing act.

Sp will readjust to 15 and then back to my prediction of 20s by results. :-))

Well, here's what I think. 33mil shares commanded a 19%, 2mil shares will at the most get 8% of 19% = 1.2% (roughly speaking). That is, if any discount was to be offered. I think we may actually go up tomorrow, as cat is out of the bag and it's not a massively nasty cat at all. All the Best

Well, I admit being wrong for today. I honestly thought it would hold blue, and here we are, within the first hour it has moved from 2% up to 2.5% down. As for March, I reluctantly maintain my view of sp being in 20s.

With Your vast experience in trading and now you are pulling out the big guns (Pivot Tables). Nmc will defo be declining to 10s if not going under. I am sure you will be around when march results land.

Nmc in weekly down trend you say, considering, sp was 13.3 last Wednesday and is 14.8 (likely to go higher today), and the week before it was 12. Not sure which NMC you are looking at but this NMC has been on the up overall. This then casts doubt on how much of a "realist" you are. All the best. In my view, NMC will hit 20s by March results.

I would suggest sp will settle somewhere between 20 and 26 pounds in the coming weeks (by March).

Yesterday's rns confirming sale of shares at £12 created an opportunity for us PIs to buy these quality shares at a price only usually available to IIs. The Doc needed money, institutions found out in advance, they created MW scandal, drive sp down to these ridiculous levels, forcing doc to accept £12, and now watch this sp fly back to it's normal range. Some of us got lucky purchases at £12.08. Happy Days!!!

Well, firstly it's old news, second it appears to be a very poor attempt to keep price depressed.

Metro Bank’s branch-focused business model and an expensive bond issue in October deterred several big private equity firms from making takeover bids for the lender this year even though its share price fell by nearly 90 per cent.

The UK challenger bank became a potential target for buyout firms following a reporting scandal in February that resulted in senior managers being investigated by regulators and left it without a permanent chief executive or chairman.

But firms including Warburg Pincus, BC Partners, Blackstone and Centerbridge decided not to bid for Metro after assessing the lender around the time of the bond deal, people familiar with the groups said.

When shorts increased, sp fell to the silly levels it is at now. But a decrease in shorts is not making sp recover to even a tenth of what it was pre shorts. Incredible!!

He is a smart investor. Hedged his longs with short though "third party". So now when it came to closing shorts he had to decided whether to crystalise huge shorts profit or eat in to it by keeping long positions intact and buying from elsewhere to close shorts. He clearly thought selling his own holdings at loss which is dwarfed by the gain on his shorts was more feasible.
