Down a tad today as some people have just collected the divi and left.
This one just keeps on giving.
Likewise, been here since 2012.. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head re would be buyer. No doubt they’ve been supporting these environmental obstructionists towards their own ends, especially now that the Astor issue is easily solvable. You can feel the venom from certain posters.
A further rise here today. Has anyone any idea what’s going on.
Quite a rash of buying here today. Does anyone know what,s going on ?
Well, Ed Gasket, Eat your heart out !
Thanks for clarification.
I don’t quite get what you’re saying.
Yes, but that money was raised in the sale of US assets otherwise we,d be seeing a big drop but we aren’t are we ?
I think your exit may have been I’ll timed. It makes sense that if you cancel a whole lot of shares, the remainder will go up in value.
Enjoyed that Sage even if it’s totally OT. I left them years ago. With virgin now but they can’t filter the crap either.
We’re not going over the cliff. We’ve pussyfooted around for two and a half years but I think the realisation is dawning. Enough is enough !!
I won’t be going for the tender offer either. I don’t like this option at all. I also expect the share price to rise.
Well I wouldn’t be inclined to sell up. This share has been undervalued for quite a while due to uncertainty. people weren’t happy with the American arm of the business but they weren’t happy either when they got rid of it for a good price. then they weren’t happy about the tax implications of a hefty dividend. And now the tender doesn’t look all that attractive. but when all this has passed I expect the share price to pick up and settle down. brexit uncertainties haven’t helped either.
Is there to go with this tender at £1.95 when the price is currently at £1.90. Unless the price were to drop immediately afterwards and I can,t see why it would. I hope it fails miserably thereby increasing the likely dividend.
I haven’t figured out how to execute this either. I have a SIPP with AJBell and an ISA with HL and in neither case can I see how I can proceed. The other arrangement would have been so simple but the little people never matter !
You don’t put something vague to the people and then spend years putting interpretations on what they meant when they voted in a particular direction. You make it abundantly clear from the outset what exactly people are being presented with as an option. anything else just causes Mayhem as we have seen.
This is a time to hang lose with some cash ready for opportunities.
