Sbob. You are assigning a figure to Brockham that GL just picked out of the air. Even his thought out calculations always turn out to be hugely wrong (just watch any of the media presentations here)
You could also argue that his £100 a barrel valuation with half going on costs is a bit worrisome! That would be about $70 dollars!! That’s around the average price a barrel recently isn’t it?

Talking of turning up, we didn’t see the 1st compressor package arrive yesterday, or did I miss it?

Just a question regarding Brockham and the change of hart.

What’s actually changed since the Kimmeridge failed and they went straight into negotiations with a buyer (another deal that surprisingly didn’t happen)
, or since they had a placing ( to be best in class) for de-commissioning Brockham and Lidsey?
Why is it now going to produce riches?
After all BRx-4z was drilled especially for the Kimmeridge? it may pass through the depleted Portland but the records show the figures GL was talking about are unlikely in the extreme especially for a well not even designed to exploit the Portland!

Just remember that the EA take around a year to pass Variations to permissions from Saltfleetby.

Having actually read all the previous RNS,s regarding Brockham I will wait and see what they actually manage to produce and how much it’s going to cost.

Not sure the basket case partners will be pleased or not looking at their financial positions at present?

If they want to produce more than a dribble then it very much is I’m afraid! They have permission to continue as they were but it was only a few barrels a day. That’s hardly going to pay the 4 guys on sites wages. They need the permission today and then a further permission at a later date for injecting water from elsewhere if the EA give them permission.

I think they will struggle to turn it down today (some will be keen to) but they need a very good reason to do that. I can’t see they have one. Possibly they will ask for more information and can kick.
I don’t think there’s a hope in hell of them approving water injection from elsewhere however.

Production hoped to start June first actually. Remind me who is trying to deceive again?

I also haven’t said they won’t be producing until July. I think they will just about get there before the hedge kicks in.

Your figures are of course correct as can be seen by the ramp squad not being able to counter them!

I would just add that you haven’t included the 8% GROSS they have to pay The lenders on once just 85% of the loan is paid off. That would wipe out any profits made if the sidetrack is unsuccessful wouldn’t it?

Drilling it now gives them the very real prospect of having to switch production off whilst they drill!! They would now have to make up any shortfall on the hedge!
That’s a question that needs asking later! Can they produce and drill at the same time!

But they have had £12 million for over a year now Ocelot!! ..They either new their figures were massively out from 2019 onwards or they surely would have drilled it by now. They are after all now just a week away from being 2 years late on the original 1st gas date!

Why would they possibly do that Ocelot? They have had 2 years to drill that sidetrack. It was always going to be critical to ultimate success with the existing wells coming towards end of life!
It just doesn’t make any sense why they haven’t attempted it in that time!…….Why not?
