I agree with Taverham and you.
There may be reasons they don't want to make a lot of noise and perhaps we should respect that. Its only three weeks to the results and then the AGM in August. Nobody at the company has been anything other than helpful and responsive at the AGM.

Helpful analysis; thanks for sharing. I am happy to have some shares.
Yes, JMUK, a good set of results. I have held for several years and take strong comfort from the way the business is run. It is also positive that Christopher Mills is now Chairman and has continued to buy shares and is clear that the opportunities to build the business continue. I believe another sensible institution has accumulated shares as have a number of the business's executives. They should be proud of the investment performance achieved for clients in challenging markets.
Dear Bernie,
Thank you for your helpful observations.
Its a difficult call yet I am pleased to be a shareholder although, relative to you, I only have 9 years experience.
I am impressed by the family and the team and am excited by the steadfast way they are building the business. I am hopeful that the new activities with Ducoya, Easat and the AVD battery extinguishers will complement the growth potential of the foundries and the defence related operations.
In today's world, moderate, continuing dividend increases will be welcomed and I'd rather have significant capital growth potential with a 2% dividend which grows than a higher yield which is difficult to sustain.
Best regards
Boring Bernie,
I quite understand. Yet, with the Goodwin family buying extra shares even for the grandchildren at up to £60.50, I sense this is a good business to stay involved with.
My last purchase was at £53 and so I take comfort that the family are satisfied with the business and sense there are good prospects ahead.
Morning John,
I presume you decided not to offer a new share as MSI come into your buying range.
Personally, I bought more at 890p and 840p.
I think we'll all be amply rewarded by the results from MSI when they come through in June.
All the best

Noteworthy that there are two sizeable trades today of 500,000 and 223,000 at 300p.
Very impressive results today. Here's hoping for a good dividend announcement. This is one of the best stocks in the Financials sector.
Maybe there'll be a few days wait for these. Nothing to concern us as this company always releases its numbers promptly.
Hope you are able to attend the AGM next Wednesday. Should be quite fascinating.
Best regards

All very interesting John Lewis. I sense that the sale of 290,000 from the Pension Fund to a buy back from the company is quite positive as the Company are basically saying that they are happy to buy the stock at 572p.
I am looking forward to the AGM on 9th August to hear more.
It probably suits the company not to be highlighted as one of the top 10 defence stocks.
All best wishes

9th August is the AGM date. If you want to go, there is an 08.33 train from St Pancras. I think you'd find it worthwhile and you can be home in time for tea.
All best

Dear CHAT,
I have just bought back the few shares I tendered. While you may be right short term, I sense that the business is enjoying increasing success.
I hope we'll see the shares go forward steadily over the year ahead.

JL,
That must have been very special to see Nijinski- here's hoping for further excitement from Doncaster before St.Leger Day.
JL,
I am in London and all you need to do is get the 8.30am train from Kings Cross and you're in Doncaster by 10.10am. Its a pleasant day and worthwhile in my view. Glad you got aboard.

JL,
Like you, I'm a believer. Having bought stock this year between 450 and 610, I'd be very surprised if we don't see significant progress with the Annual report in a month's time and possibly more to come before the year end.
I'd recommend you go to Doncaster next month or August for the AGM as meeting the Company reinforces an attractive proposition.
Dear John,
Sorry to hear about your US Bank challenges. I think the opportunity remains strong. Apart from the valid Taverham comments, there could be great business from the Forecourts operations with the recrafting of all the petrol stations transferring to Asda.
All best
West.
Glad you are back in action JL.
Regards
Thanks for the continuing reports. Hope we will meet at forthcoming AGM which I imagine will be late July in Doncaster.
Thank you John Lewis for the helpful commentary. I am surprised by the big fall in MSI yet believe it will surprise us all with the rebound over the next quarter. I bought more after spotting that the two senior directors were still keen to sell stock into their pension funds at 590p. I made a further purchase ten days ago at 520p.
Patience will reward when we see the results in late June early July and see the status of the US Navy sponsored programmes for allied forces.
Meanwhile thanks for keeping us informed.
