You're right though that you cannot substitute experience for the reasons you have stated. I guess there'll always be a little luck involved and time entries and exits certainly has luck attached. i think you just have to accept you're probably unlikely to get in at the bottom and out at the top. If this happened then investing would be easy. But you're absolutely right re the sequence of events/price action re mining stocks. Good luck sir.

Now I don't want to put any sort of dampener on the board but i just thought i'd throw out for discussion the historic sp movement of stocks and the chance of "bagging" when comparing hopes to actual movement. I've no idea regarding percentage success stories, but all i'm saying is you see hundreds of aim stocks over the years, who suffer continued dilution and a sp hitting rock bottom (normally at the expense of the poor pi). With the benefit of hindsight, there's normally a reason and you can ask yourself why did anyone invest in stock 'X' in the first place.

BUT, you can have success with aim stocks as well but you need to be well researched. From my point of view, I like to see low MCap, SP either rock bottom or preferably on the up, tried and trusted management, good set of large invested companies/individuals, product for the present/future, product which is "needed" in the wider market, and of course many more. HMZ has all of these with a product in place.

So to pricing. In 30 years of investing yes i've had the odd bagger (and lost a bit as well from time to time!) but i've never have a 10x bagger plus. The consensus here seems to think this is easily possible here. My other large holding (ARCM) the thought are the same there as well. So maybe that points to a lack of skill on my part for not investing in the right company at the right time? Yes I can accept criticism, but, ,maybe it points to the fact that 10x baggers really are very rare? Or maybe, just maybe, I've hit on the 2 stocks which will each be 10x baggers?? I mean, a 10x bagger for some of you guys would be of lottery winning proportions? its my holding elsewhere, I would be VERY comfortable if it 10x bagged.

All i'm saying is, how realistic are we being? I'm most definitely NOT a deramper but just enjoy discussion, trying to put a level headed slant on things and hearing other peoples opinions.

I think another poster said recently he was out of oil stocks. i agree totally which is why i'm increasing my holding here along with other large copper play. I too believe these metals are the future and patience will really pay off. I remain excited by what might be just around the corner here. I wools like to see a little more clarity re funding for production but all in good time i guess. On the other hand if we're taken out then happy days.

I still think if i was a betting man then a buy out would be my favourite. Historically there's only a small percentage of explorer companies who actually go into large scale production. Maybe it will happen here - just sharing ym thoughts. Have a good weekend all

Very disappointed with the lack of any apparent action here. The last buy was almost a week ago. BM really should start looking after his share holders and update the market. The SP has been stagnant for as long as i can remember. Just seems like a bad dream .

LTD - Interesting and informative post. As you're an experienced investor here, it's comforting to know you're happy with your position. My only worry is that you seem to imply Mr Griffiths knows where to put his money and its therefore a little concerning he's withdrawing funds from here. Time will tell.

I guess on a positive side, the sp has held up reasonably well so far with this selling. The next few days will be interesting.

Twohits - i think we have to temper the enthusiasm re being worth a lot more than Kiwara as we're at such an early stage. Let's see how the drills/assay goes with will give us a lot clearer picture. I'm definitely excited but just trying to keep my feet on the ground.

Indeed two hits. SOLG was exceptional but then I come back to my post from yesterday re Kalumbila. That sold to a major for 75p per share equivalent. We are entitled to be "exceptional" as well!!!

CP- From experience, the markets don't like 'late promises' and neither do i. In my book there's absolutely no excuse for not delivering on time. It just creates a bad taste in my mouth but i'll give things a little leeway as I'm new to this stock.

I'm certainly not adding more just now and will see where the sp ends up first. I'd rather add on a rising market than an apparent falling one, although hopefully today was just a glitch.

I find the Cascabel/SOLG mention in the article very interesting. They think its not comparable? Well I guess our asset is near the surface compared to some very deep drilling of SOLG. The grades there averaged just over 1%. I know its early days here but so far we're averaging well over 1%. A long way to go though so don't count your chickens just yet.

However, for us as shareholders, the SOLG comparison put into print can only be good.
