Part of the reply to my complaints.. To say they are useless is an understatement. They don't want to compensate any service charges.

May I firstly sympathise with the frustration you have faced in monitoring your holdings. As you are aware, in recent weeks the UK financial markets and indeed those across the world have experienced significant volatility following the international response to the Covid-19 outbreak. Investors have been trading much more frequently, prompting significant price movements in stocks across the globe. As a result of the increased trading activity, market makers, stock brokers, and investors have been and continue to be impacted by tumultuous market movement and trading.
While Hargreaves Lansdown’s clients have, at certain points in time, experienced some intermittent problems, it’s important to note that at no time did they face any ‘outage’, or complete inability to trade or view their accounts. Whilst problems have been more prevalent online, there has likewise not been a period where clients have been prevented from viewing their investments. Furthermore, our Helpdesk and dealers are available to assist any client who calls.
As my colleague has previously outlined, we acknowledge that we experienced a number of intermittent issues with providing live prices online around the time of your complaint, which we fixed at our earliest opportunity. Unfortunately it is inevitable that, from time to time, we may encounter such problems. As we confirm in section A12 of our HL Service Terms & Conditions, which can be found at https://www.hl.co.uk/terms-and-conditions, “We cannot guarantee that access to, or trading in, and your Accounts via the HL Website, HL Mobile Application, by telephone or by post will be available at all times or without delay. You acknowledge that the HL Service may be interrupted and the services available may be variable in certain circumstances.”
We rely on third parties to provide the live market prices for your investments and we have recently experienced delays in receiving this information. Please be assured we are working hard with our supplier to minimise these occurrences. However, we make it clear on your account when the prices shown are not up to date and live prices. Additionally you are still able to trade by obtaining an online live quote from our panel of market makers, or by calling our dealing desk.
