What another strange day. I think I am just going to sit tight too and see what happens. I really cant see them falling anymore, though I thought that on Friday, and it was such a bad day allround for the FTSE 250.
Even if we are back at 2007 profit levels wasnt the share £2+ and at times even £3+ at these levels...
I am going to buy too as I agree that they are overvalued. As regards the buys and sells what you said is actually what I meant. There have been way more buys than sells (when you look at the prices and ignore what the software says it is) and your point backs up what I meant i.e there are a lot more buys than sells but the sp is static.
Good posts and it is pretty much my thinking, and I think Jellyboy's thinking too. It is a gamble but all shares are anyway. I dont think that anyone here has been ramping, the general consesus just seems to be that 35% is a big, big drop and that there is a chance of an immediate bounce and in the long term good growth. If the drop had been say 15% I wouldnt have touched it. Everyone DYOR.
Cheers and you too
As you say DYOR and that is what everyone should do with every share, including this one. If you have and this is not for you then fair enough. Any company could go bust, the banks have proved that. I am intrigued though as to why you would do something like 20 posts in a share that you supposedly have no interest in. How strange.
Shaon, I like your definition of facts, IPF is another CTT? Based on what, absolutely nothing. Northern Rock had a big fall so that must mean IPF are going the same way? Again this is based on absolutely nothing. Loads and loads of shares have had huge falls over the past year and people have made fortunes from the bounce. The facts are these. IPF profits are £8m short in just one of their markets (Hungary), the others are all in line with expectations (this would equate to £20-£30m below expectations for the year if it is continued). The company made £70.3m pre-tax last year. Therefore based on this I would still expect IPF to make a substantial profit even if the losses in Hungary are continued. Does this equate to a 35% loss in sp in one day? I dont think so. It is a huge over-reaction and judging by the number of buys compared to sells the market thinks so too. Why dont you think the share cant bounce on Monday? I would be amazed if it doesnt.
It is easy enough to work them out for yourself. There were easily far more buys than sells for this share today.
I have just had a look at her posts and I know what you mean. I dont know why people go from BB to BB talking down shares that they know nothing about, especially when they dont back up their opinions with any facts.
Glad its not just me then as I was beginning to doubt myself. I sold some others shares this morning to buy these after I saw what had happened (and after doing some research) as I could only see one direction in which they would head after that fall. Indeed I expected the share price to rise in the afternoon and it went down further. Ah well. Like you say I think it will bounce on Monday and anyhow they will definately come good over the longer term.
I have been looking at this for a while and with the half year results being announced for the 21/5/09 I will probably buy before then. It has a SP of less than 3p, low (no) debt and a market capitalisation of only £5.98 million (hasnt the company got over £7 million in cash?). It has integrated all its acquisitions, cut costs and has a 11p target from Collins Stewart. The chairman and 2 directors also bought shares on 31/3/09. With all that in mind it is surely worth a lot more than the SP at present. There seems to have been far more buys than sells as well in the last few weeks. My concerns with this share though are the fact that despite these buys the share price never seems to go up and the large spread. Why is the spread so big? However at 2.63 I think it is worth a punt.
First post and largely because of watching this share today, although I have read the views on these boards for a long time. I really dont get what has happened to this share today. Down nearly 35%, surely the announcement wasnt that bad! One bad market in Hungary but the others seem fine and looking at the figures from last year I would have thought that the company is still easily in profit. Also looking at the buys and sells today I just cant see how this huge fall is in anyway justified. There have been way more buys than sells, including one alone for 6 million shares. That is how I see it or am I completely missing something.
