I totally understand that, whilst I was in hospital I was under a team that concentrate on pain, and how to work through it. Ok it was only for three weeks, but I really do get where you're coming from....!

That's true, sometimes, whilst waiting for the nurse to come, I think of all sorts of things, then I read last nights postings and it somewhat put a dampener on things. I suppose it's being stuck ...... makes ya think that way.....lol

Yeah that's it affectively. The wound is about 6" x 3" on the calf muscle, then there's a dressing covering it with a tube attached to that.... which of course is attached to the pump
I learnt a new word yesterday, when the doc looked at the open wound and said (with scalpel in hand) I need to cut away some "Slough"...... I said are you joking? He said it's ok you won't feel anything....
