The comparison being drawn is to a pregnancy test.
Cheap. Use at home. Self diagnose. No need for bloods.
You then take the outcome and it guides you to next steps, go for further lab tests, no need to act etc.
Accuracy in this is important, but even into the high %s of accuracy (if it can be delivered at home and cheaply) is a significant step forward from today. Just consider the testing to cases % in U.K. currently, lots have been tested because they thought they may have it, a significant % haven’t. This testing has come at great expense currently.
Until there is 100% immunity world wide, there will be a need for a test like this, and all the better if we can get to market quickly.
