RE: What a disgrace of CTO, looks like he has no respect for No1024 Mar 2026 17:10
As I said today in my comment, I don't post very often because some of the people here are just trolls, but I want to share this so we all keep in mind the progression and development of this company, this is not financial advice:
1. The Appointment Strategy (September 2025 - March 2026)
The company has restructured its leadership team to ensure absolute credibility with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the government:
Institutional Weight: The appointment of Field Marshal Lord Houghton of Richmond (September 2025) as Non-Executive Chairman was the first major move. As the former Chief of the Defence Staff, he provided the key to opening doors in Whitehall. This was followed by figures like Jim Clover OBE (December 2025) for national security.
Technological & Execution Weight: The arrival of the current CTO (Andrew McCartney, August 2025) and the recent appointment of Andrew Roughan as CEO (effective this March 2026) complete the formula.
Analysis: The doors to Downing Street have opened today thanks to this new board's network. The fact that the CTO is attending—and not just lobbyists or ex-military personnel—shows that the government is genuinely interested in auditing or integrating the underlying technology.
2. The Escalation in Invitations and Validations
The company's meeting pattern shows a direct upward trajectory toward the top of the Western alliance:
September 2025 (DSEI): Active participation by its Vice President (James Norwood) on the NATO welcoming committee at the largest defence exhibition.
November 2025 (NATO): Invited to showcase Project Ixian at the exclusive NATO Task Force Maven Industry Day, validating their AI software before senior allied commanders.
March 2026 (Today): Meeting with the Prime Minister and AI advisors.
Analysis: They have gone from exhibiting their product at trade shows to presenting it to NATO operational forces, and now, discussing it with the country's leadership. The Prime Minister's AI advisor is seeking solutions for the Strategic Defence Review, and Defence Holdings is clearly on that short list.
3. The Secrecy of "Project Ixian"
The company has generated both hype and frustration by stating in their financial reports (such as December 2025) that they are in the final stages of contracting with their first client, but "cannot provide further details until confidentiality restrictions are lifted."
The reason for the silence: Ixian is not standard commercial software. It is described as a sovereign AI platform focused on "Information Operations" (detecting and disrupting hostile digital campaigns) and requires air-gapped environments (isolated from the internet), which is why they partnered with Google Cloud.
Analysis: They aren't saying what they do because legally, they can't. When a company develops "Classified AI Product Constructs" for cyber warfare or intelligence, secrecy is dictated by the UK Official Secrets Act or NATO protocols. Today's meeting at Downing St
