Both Tullow and Exxon have not chosen to publish Oil results quality of Jethro/joe and Hammerhead. Having said that most peoples IMHO took for granted the Oil would be light and the omission of such facts from Tullow and Exxon has been a lesson to me and I remain slightly pessimistic of the upper and lower Tertiary plays.
Exxon have not committed to a FPSO on Hammerhead yet.

Gill stated in the post RNS interview "quite high Sulpher content and comments like we will drill next year. Thats when it continues to get a bit sketchy, however that is not mean to be negative to Eco or Tullow for that matter.

I bought back in and going to sit back and see what happens.

We have been let down (so far) with the Tertiary however the Cretaceous was always the prize and I guess positive Carapa results will be good for us.

If Tullow exit thats no bad thing, but would Total SA buy? Have read article in Times business (with comments); so were investors right to assume Oil quality was the same as Liza?

For me its all about the 2020 drill plan! Could be Jethro channel or no drills in Orinduik!

Staying invested now and to be fair this has done well as a AIM shares IMO

Reflecting on today and not wanting to repeat fellow board colleagues comments.
I am thinking why did Exxon appraise Hammerhead (perhaps extensively) and then say no further comment until March 2020? I know the official line was to focus on neared production targets but maybe it was not reported in the detail as some other targets?
Also and with all respect to Eco & partners; how long does it take to understand fairly basic Oil quality?? This is maybe the only issue that could cause a reputation issue IMO.

Having said all that it still looks a viable investment and have reinvested inta-day. GLA

Full agree; would appear to be a lack of transparency; Its certainly part of the story that needs to be explained!

Most refineries have sulphur units its normal operations, I am no expert but when I worked for MOCL we used to take in Russian crude (complete with rocks)! Just cheaper thats all. Typically Arab light is prime; sound like coffee hey. No worries here will work out next year.
