The board are behaving badly, don’t let them get the shares needed to get to the magic 75% on the cheap. Make them pay, buy and hold IMO and DYOR. This seems to me another MEAL and IBPO

There will be a hell of a lot of cash to go at this time! The Shareholder Agreement will no doubt have a provision around spending and any excesses should require prior agreement with the JV partner. You can’t really credibly talk this opportunity down IMO

The war is as good as over, Russia just need to finish the job once the mud in East Ukraine hardens and they can move forward. Ukraine will be forced to the negotiating table, the war will end on Russia’s terms and the sanctions on Russia will be lifted. Result Polymetal flies. It’s a question of time. Oh, and you can thank President Xi for talking some sense into Zelensky later.

I wonder if the imminent diamond news has already been priced in to the SP and that the real news will be around BP production and, more importantly, the indebtedness of the company. Hopefully all will be revealed either this week or next. I’m fully invested so not looking for a lower entry price and my average is 0.7p so at roughly breakeven.

Agreed and supported by a good presentation and Q&A on the Investor Meet Company platform from earlier today. They have a plan and are clearly moving on from recent issues in relation to the former CE. Once they sell Lionfish that will give good boost to cash flow and there are interested parties

I’d rather have the dividend sooner so that I can put the money to better use myself rather than accumulating money market interest in the company. Think what investors could make on that cash

As the only asset in the company is cash and there are no liabilities (please correct me if this is wrong) what’s the reason for the delay in at least announcing 12 June 2023 as the payment date and going ex~div shortly after the announcement? Surely it can’t be the income v capital question as I’m sure the company would tell us to get our own advice? Starting to get impatient

Mrcautious, I understand your concern but does the fact that a new investor coming in (cica 29% shareholding) pay 1.5p per share give you any cause for optimism? I too am cautious and maybe it’s easier for me to say who has been a shareholder for just under 2 years with an average of 1.06p than someone who has been in longer and endured the pain. Give DE a chance, he might just deliver.

To be fair DE did say that the company will use the money to finance projects but if there is surplus cash not earmarked for a project then it will be returned to shareholders as he does not want the company to be a bank. The understanding is that if later a project is identified he’ll go back to shareholders to raise funds. Hopefully that will mean all shareholders and on proportionate terms. That being the case this seems a reasonable thing to do. Whether shareholders would want to give back the money they’ve had as a dividend is uncertain but at least they’d be given the choice. If only more AIM companies adopted this approach.

Apollo makes first offer, say £1.25, gets rejected. Second offer comes in, say £1.50, gets rejected. Apollo walk away and consider finding a bargain elsewhere. MM comes in with MBO at around £1.75 before golden shares lapsed and we’re all relieved and he’s our saviour and hero. No one can complain as his offer trumps the third party (Apollo).

Get real, we’re on the edge of a recession and this sector is already in the doldrums. I’m thinking Joules for example. If the possible offer is confirmed as an actual offer then in the current market situation we should accept.

It would be good to get the dividend before 5 April 2023 as next tax year the dividend allowance falls from £2,000 to £1,000. ( If only I’d bought the shares in my ISA/ SIPP!! ) However, this seems highly unlikely.

Still no news on the receipt of proceeds, this is stretching the definition of the word ‘imminent’ as used in the RNS last week. Mmmm starting to get concerned…….

Less than 2 months ago the SP was up around 9p and now it’s nearly touching 7p. What’s changed in that time as far as the company is concerned? Answer is nothing. The good news continues to flow, SD confidently presents and the new investors (Wylei) and new directors are aligned with other shareholders. If anything this is a good top up opportunity to average down and the SP movement is of little consequence if you’re waiting for the ASX listing (June), the DFS (hopefully August) and decision to mine. Patience needed, but as funding is in place and there are fewer uncertainties than (say) 6 months ago what’s the problem? IMO and DYOR
